I bought it in November 1999, when I was 17. It is still in my fleet.

Nice. You're the winner.

Re: Your first car

In high school I got a 63 chevy van; three on a tree. I was able to use it for school and work.

Re: Your first car

After I was hit the third time in my moms 1995 (give or take a year) they finally gave it to me with the insurance money to fix up. It looked like the one in the pick. We did all the body work and a guy sprayed it for $50 in a storage shed and it was one of the best paint jobs I had seen back in the days.

Re: Your first car

When I started driving I had to tool around in my older sister's Geo Storm. It looked just like this:

Then for my 17th bday my parents got me an awesome '83 Chevy Blazer - only a year younger than me:

Except mine had bad ass old school Chevy rally wheels.

Introducing Goldy.

Goldy had a sagging head liner. Naugahyde seats. No discernible ac. And a V6 that drank fuel and handed it out to nearby vehicles for free I think.

My 3rd car (the first one I actually bought) was a '96 Ford Taurus. It was pretty goofy looking, but it actually wasn't a bad car.

I was on the launch team that did a lot of the interior for that car.
I was at the assembly plant so often that I may have well seen your car being built.
Your armrest/console and overhead/visors were built right here in my town.

Ha, those visors with the built-in/slide down mirrors used to confuse the hell out of my friends, but I really liked that design.

Re: Your first car

The cutlas was my first car my first car that I purchased on my own was an RX7. We took the rotory motor and added a Holley 650 and some other stuff and it had around 240 HP. The car would fly. I could burn the tires at 55 mph shifting from 2nd to 3rd.
