Re: NFC EAST CHAMPS!!!! How does it feel?

Count me in amongst the "this is a new feeling for me" crowd. I'm not sure it's sunk in yet. To be honest, I don't feel satisfied. I feel like we've earned a ticket to the dance, but that's not enough, I want to be the king of homecoming. I hope the team feels the same way.

Seahawks have won 4 straight opening playoff games, 2-0 against us, that streak ends next week

RG III and Morris have been breaking streaks all year. So why would this week be anything different.

Breaking that playoff losing streak to Seattle would be nice...

Re: NFC EAST CHAMPS!!!! How does it feel?

I, for one, have never been a member of the Warpath when we went to the playoffs back in 07, so this is new to me/and awesome to see.

Its great to read those magazines and hear those analysts when the question is asked to them "who is going to win the NFC East this year?" and they all respond with any of the 3 teams not named the Redskins. HA! We got the last laugh tonight.

Its going to be fun watching our crowd in their first playoff game since 99. Seattles fans don't travel well so it should be a HUGE skins crowd (even bigger than tonights crowd).

I'll also fully admit, that I thought this team was done after that Panthers game. To see us win not 1, not 2, not 5, but 7!!! Straight games!!! WOW. If you were watching the skins of 99, 05, or 07 and said we need you to win 7 straight, even those teams would have thought you were crazy.

I also owe an apology to, I believe it was Punch it in (if it wasn't him it was Skinsfaninok), who said all along that he believed that the skins could go on a winning streak and make the playoffs--even after we lost to the Panthers. Way to stay positive and believe in your team

Punch did, I said I believe we could still finish 8-8

So do I.

I was at the Detroit game. A great victory.

And I agree the loss to Tampa Bay was BS.

Hopefully we can make new history this time.

I got my tickets already and can't wait! Win/lose this has been a great season.

Beating the Seahawks will truly provide redemption for the 07 and 10 seasons

Re: NFC EAST CHAMPS!!!! How does it feel?

I was more excited about our chances in the playoffs back in '99 based on where the rest of the league was at, but this time is more fun because it is completely unexpected. If there was an award for most improved coaching within a season it would undoubtedly go to the Shanahans/Haslett.

Re: NFC EAST CHAMPS!!!! How does it feel?

When you have two great leaders London Fletcher on defense and RGIII on offense, winning and playing well is becomes very contagious. I think it was Chris Collinsworth that made the excellent observation that Haslett gives Fletcher 100% authority to change the play at the line of scrimmage right before the snap. Fletch did a ton of it tonight and it worked. Not many teams have that.
