Re: Blown Coverages - Who do we blame?!
On defense of Minnifield, this was his first pro game where saw lots of action, he can at least tackle. How did Breeland do on his first couple of games? A lot of what you saw today was due to Andrew Luck being the next great QB and Amerson had a worst game than Minnifield.

Raheem Morris works with the secondary every day, so I would start with him.

Re: Blown Coverages - Who do we blame?!
This thread isn't based on observations from just today's games. I've seen blown coverages all year long. Even when we were healthy in the secondary. I get the Colts are the #1 passing team in the league, and I'm not complaining about slight separation... every ball I expect the replay to show the skins player slipping and falling... but it doesn't.

Re: Blown Coverages - Who do we blame?!
Get rid of Haslet and Raheem, along with everyone other coach on defense and hire Rex Ryan to fix this mess. Honestly, if Harbaugh is available hire him and let him run the team the way he wants to. I hate everyone they hire. It is all about guys that fit Snyder's stupid personality, instead of the best football mind available. We have the entire crew from some stupid ass arena football team coaching crappy players, picked using a dart board.

Re: Blown Coverages - Who do we blame?!
Besides Jarvis Jenkins, when is the last hand in the dirt down defensive lineman we have drafted higher than the 5th round? Rounds 1 through 4?
Does anyone know? Not anybody on our current roster. How far back do you have to go for our last high round defensive lineman? Hatcher and Cofield are on the wrong side of 30. |

Re: Blown Coverages - Who do we blame?!
And I mean Lang as a hand in the dirt DE that stayed a DE. Not DE's we converted into LBs a la Kerrigan and Orakpo.

Re: Blown Coverages - Who do we blame?!
I had to listen to the entire game, so not only am I pissed at the results of the game, I'm pissed at having to listen to those guys stumble through a broadcast.
My questions is this, who is the "on the field" leader of the defense, or the defensive QB? I know half of our defensive starters lack talent/skills to play at this level, but is there anyone who gets what the coaching are planning? If not, the blame lays directly on the coaching staff. Someone should be able to, or at least care enough to remind the players who don't get the weekly snaps what to do. Total team failure today....except for a handful of players. Sounded like Jordan had a nice game, and Colt was throwing the ball well.

Re: Blown Coverages - Who do we blame?!
What's really frustrating is watching Amerson. Here's a high draft pick, he's suppose to be improving and he's regressing badly. Drafted player who sucking, plus missing meetings that got him benched. Wtf is wrong with these guys? Do some of them actually like football? Or do they play just for the check?
