Never hated the Ravens, but after the Rice debacle I can't stomach rooting for them.

I probably would root for them if it wasn't for their fan base. Working in Baltimore really makes you wish you could collectively kick all of them in the taint.

I actually went to that game, with two other mates. Last year all three of us went to The Chiefs game. Both experiences were so bad one of my buddies says he no longer wants to go to any Redskins game again. At the, very, least he doesn't think we should go together because both times Was has been blown out. I reminded him The Skins have been bad for a long time. Whether we're there or not won't make a difference. Look at todays game for example. No one I even knew was at the game, they still get blown out.

If I had to root for another team I'd go with NO because I was born down that way but I'd probably just end up a fan of the nfl.

The Saints are my #2 but I am not passionate about them.

Re: Couldn't watch Today

My number 2 has always been miami because of my twin brother but i just wouldn't root for them like that. So that's y I'd go with NO. But I agree i really could care less if they win or lose either

Re: Couldn't watch Today

I'd say my #2 is the Raiders. Followed by the Panthers. Honestly.

I dunno what it is with me and losing franchises.

I recorded the game but one of my buddies accidentally spoiled the outcome so I watched mostly in fast forward to see how comically bad we were.

Re: Couldn't watch Today

I abandoned the game after 24-0 today. Not ashamed to say it either. There was a point in time where even when the Skins sucked I'd still watch every minute of every game, but not anymore. Only had 1 day off this week and had way better things to do than watch a terrible team get blanked. Can't find a single good thing to say about this team after today. Not one.

Ownership = terrible.
Front office = terrible.
Scouts = looking terrible, don't know if they're being ignored or if their talent evaluation skills are questionable.
Coaching staff = terrible.
Players not named AlfMo, D.Jax, Garcon, Reed, Trent Williams on offense: terrible.
Defense outside of a select few: terrible.
Special teams = wasn't terrible for a stretch, today was terrible. Excluding team MVP Tress Way, who was also not that great today.
Effort = terrible.
Execution = super terrible.
Any phase which looked like it belonged on an NFL field = nonexistant.
Any hope or sign that something will change after this season = nonexistant.
Any hope for the near future (1-3 seasons): nonexistant.

I'll leave it with this: Every Sunday I always root for this team to win. But if this team is going to lose (a very real possibility every Sunday), I'm going to root for NYJ, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Oakland, and Tampa Bay to win, because all of those teams have 2-11 records and are in a 5 way tie for worst record in the NFL, which means with our 3-10 record we are apparently the 6th worst team in the NFL (Which I refuse to believe, I mean f'n Oakland just beat SF who kicked our asses).

Re: Couldn't watch Today

i use cox internet but have to get satellite for the nfl package, next year i will just bundle everything on cox.

To me it still seems the most blame is on offense, very few games i felt the defense didnt give us a chance. Many games we had no hope with few points scored.

Re: Couldn't watch Today

I've got to be honest, I'm struggling with this myself. I don't live in the area but I've been a fan since '82 and have had Sunday Ticket since it debuted just so I can watch the Skins every Sunday. It's gotten to the point where I have a hard time caring. To make matters more complex I've got a son coming next spring and I'm considering that it will just be easier to root for the Dolphins (I live in S. Florida now) since we can go to the games and just follow the Redskins as an aside.

I have exactly zero faith in Snyder, Allen, Gruden and their collective ability to build and field a winning team. Next year will be the same as this year. I'm usually a foolish optimist but this season has finally beat it all out of me.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Re: Couldn't watch Today

I watch but for all intent and purpose whether they win or lose has no impact on my mood. In fact when they beat Dallas the fact that Dallas lost brought me more joy than the Skins winning. I no longer conisider myself a Skins fan and being an Oregon Ducks fan I find myself rooting for Chip Kelly and the Eagles more and more.

Getting over the Skins is a long process but I look forward to Sundays where I don't even think about them.
