RG3 excited for offense that will be catered to his abilities | Comcast SportsNet Washington

An article re a new RG3 interview.

I think RG3 is a great person. I think his concern for others, wanting to be polite, his drive to succeed etc. is genuine.

I say that, to say this:

Can you keep Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers out of your mouth. You keep referencing yourself and your situation to theirs ...

“The more familiarity you can have with the coaches, the system, the better,” Griffin said. “You see the Tom Bradys, the Aaron Rodgers, the Peyton Mannings of this league, [they’ve had] the same coaches, the same system and they can grow within that system—and that’s what we’re looking to build. We definitely feel that that’s something we want to do, obviously, because we want to be successful for a long time.”

RG3, it is going to take more than "familiarity" for you to become Brady, Manning or Rodgers. Im am nit-picking on him to a good degree here bc what he says is innocent and true.

RG3 also dropped another inspirational quote:

He added: “You continue to water that Chinese bamboo and chop up that wood. We’re looking forward to allowing that tree to sprout up.”

A good quote from him:

"You listen to your coaches and work on the things they want you to work on. You become a better and better player.”

---------------------------------------

basically just a say-nothing-new summer time article.

Totally agree. The quotes get so exasperating.

That said, if he gets it together and plays well he can say anything he wants. Hell I might even buy a no pressure no diamonds T shirt

The coaches want that out. They want to put alot of pressure on Chester, and get Long to bust his ass. Keim definately never just makes up stuff. I'm glad for a lot of reasons, maybe it means McLovin likes Long? Or the coaches like what they are seeing, and just want to give him a confidence boost.

Redskins 2015 offense: Jay Gruden says it won't be like 2012 - NFL - SI.com

another offseason article that says a bunch of nothing.

gruden says the 2015 offense WILL NOT look like the 2012 offense. They will sprinke the read option in here and there but that is it.

either this is a bunch of media created back n forth dribble or the skins are way ahead of the game.

if D coordinators prepare their opponent gameplans in May, this is nothing short of brilliant.

I'm glad the Redskins hired this guy as our DC instead of Wade Phillips, he seems to mean business and doesn't look like a lost pussy the way Haslett did.

Are you saying WP would be lost as a DC? We know WP can lead a top 5 defense, lets see how Barry does in real games, not offseason pressers

i'd still take the guy with a track record of greatness over a complete unknown - everyone's awesome before they actually have to play a game. I mean, I'm hoping he's great, or least better tan haz (not hard), but i need to see it. they gave him a LOT of new bodies to make it work.

Had to happen eventually. Truly one of my favorite Skins and sorry to see him go. Both he and Brunell will forever be enshrined in my personal HOF for lighting it up against Jerry's kids that faithful night.....

Re: Redskins Off Season things.

Moss was on a 1 year deal so he wasn't released, they just don't plan on bringing him back right now.

Report: Redskins make decision on future of Santana Moss | Comcast SportsNet Washington

Heck of a career here. One of the few trades we won.

Man, the end of an era (not too many of these around here lately). I know this was due but I hope he's able to transition into a good career post-football.
