Re: What are the expectations for your Washington Redskins 2016-2017 season?
The offense should be high octane. If the D can just be average or slightly above, I say 11 wins is the ceiling, with a first round playoff win.

Keim's Expectations:
Washington Redskins will compete for playoffs, NFC East title - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN for the lazy 9-7, i say 10-6. I think we win that Ravens game.

Predicting each game at this point makes me laugh, but writers gotta write.

I'm always optimistic at the beginning of every season, but this year feels less delusional to me. I'm going with 10-6, possibly 11-5 and a first round playoff victory.

Yeah, and what drives me equally crazy is talking about strength of schedule based on last year's win percentage. About as meaningless as it gets. We can guess, but nobody knows who is going to be good, it's nothing more than a guess.

Re: What are the expectations for your Washington Redskins 2016-2017 season?
I have serious doubts about our defense. Our line is sketchy to say the least and the fact they brought in a 36 year old Jenkins doesn't help the cause either. The offense should be wide open, but even our running game worries me. We need to be able to control the clock and keep our defense off the field. I certainly don't see a 11-5 season, but we did get a lot of help from the Cowboys and Eagles this off-season towards winning our division. Considering the Giants lost 5 games last year in the last two minutes, I still think they'll be the front runner. I think we could go anywhere between 8-8 and 10-6. We still need a lot of work on that DL front.

I particularly enjoyed Keim's little jab at RG3 here. Quote:

Re: What are the expectations for your Washington Redskins 2016-2017 season?
I really, really love this team this year. I love the Redskins every year obv, but this year especially. I see so much development in terms of the character side. Who they all are, what they've been through, how they got to this point, all of it.
I think the sum of all the parts is going to be a bit greater than 9-7 or 10-6. Niles Paul coming back from injury, Will Compton rising up from undrafted to be a vocal leader, Cousins the steady influence that you keep working and your time will come, and longtime leaders Trent and DeAngelo lead with heart. I just like this group. An awful lot. Time to run through a wall, let's go!!!

9-7 is my guess. Lots of good teams on the schedule. My biggest question mark is can we pressure the QB.

Feels good knowing we should have a very competitive team, barring any sort of devastating injuries of course.

Love this group -- hardworking, nose to the grindstone kind-of-guys all. Love it.
