Ah, I knew you could smell a Dallas conversation going on in here

But is it possible that they are trying to assemble, very quickly, a team of FAs and picks that will make an immediate impact like we have in the past? A la, Bruce Smith, D.Sanders, and a host of others.

Or is this a totally different thing here??

The reason for last seasons back slide was overestimating the talent on the roster and FA pick ups

Exit head of scouting Lacewell and enter Jeff Ireland

BP has seen enough of an undersized unit get exploited damn near week in and week out and went back to his roots...3-4 and size

Add a guy who obviously knows talent in Ireland (all of our draft picks made the roster..Beriault on IR) along with 2 UDFA revelations in Johnson and Thompson

We dont overpay anymore...we valuable our draft selections and use them wisely (especially this year)

Thats about it..

But Guy, beyond this season what can some of these guys add to Dallas?

Bldedsoe 13 yr. vet
Ferguson 9 yr. vet (banged up all preseason)
Rivera 10 yr. vet (same)
Price 7 year vet.

I'm just wondering if there is a small window here??

'HOF maybe I didn't make myself clear. Other than a DAL fan, who's interested in reading that article/post? I don't know why you're interested enough in WSH to come onto this site.

FA p/u's

Ferguson
Bledsoe
Rivera
Aaron Glenn
Henry
Price

Trade: Fujita

Rivera struggled with a groin injury he sustained 2 days before the preseason opener in Arizona and missed 2 and a half weeks

If Thursday's nite game was an indicator of whats to come....Im real excited

Ferguson sustained a high ankle sprain and missed 3 weeks of practice in training camp

He got his 1st action against Jax and was ok...but rusty

Glover, per BP, will start the season as the starting NT--and Glover has looked very good doing so in the preseason

Bledsoe has looked sharp the last 2 preseason games--especially Thurs nite

Now, I know the preseason means nothing...but their are encouraging everywhere...a stellar offseason and weekly improvement throughout the preseason

Cant wait for a Gates-less SD Chargers next week

He actually has beack surgery after injuring himself in a workout back in..I want to say May.

The surgery went very well and he participated in camp

Then the groin injury

Now...he's ready to go
