Re: Playoff Picture
one game at a time. that's the only way to do this boys. we focus on the game ahead and nothing else. we start looking ahead were only asking for disappointment. bring on the cards.

Re: Playoff Picture
and while the nfc hasn't faired so well against the afc in head to head games I think it's pretty awesome that the record of the afc teams we've lost to this season is now a combined 29 & 15 with the raiders alone making up more than half of those Ls. and the skins went punch for punch with 3 of the top 5 afc teams and thus three of the top 5 nfl teams. And baring a handful of mistakes would have won those 3 games instead of losing to those 3 teams by a combined 15 points. so if todays game is the beginning of the team pulling together for an entire game consistently, I like our chances if the team does make it into the playoffs. But of course it's still a game to game world .

Re: Playoff Picture
We're still very much alive!!!
Redskins win out, we'll get atleast last playoff spot. If we do beat Cards and win 2 of the 3 remaining NFC East games and miss the playoffs I'll still be very content with our run this season. It will show that we can compete in the NFC East and need to look to beating atleast 1 more AFC team next year. We play the AFC east next year? Agreed its a game by game season and I don't anticipate the Cards laying down next week, but I do anticipate a full blown running assault and clock domination by Gibbs and the OL. Giants are at Philly and KC is in Dallas. GO EAGLES GO KC!!! GO SEAHAWKS tonight!!! GO SKINS ALWAYS!!!

Re: Playoff Picture
i think we will be alright against arizona.warner is about as mobile as a statue.and all the runs the cardinal wr's make involve alot of missed tackles.the skins are a good tackling team.we should be able to pound them with the run like we did against the rams.skins win 24-13

Re: Playoff Picture
We have got to play with more heart than yesterday. Just before the half was sickening. Why not just take a knee if thats was all the plays you were going to run. It looked like St. Louis was going to take over on mominum with the big pass play that got called back. Good Job Rock though.

Re: Playoff Picture
Here's what I'm going with for my NFC Wildcard Predictions:
Seattle 9-2: at Philadelphia (Win), San Francisco (Win), at Tennessee (Win), Indianapolis (Loss), at Green Bay (Win) Chicago 9-3: at Pittsburgh (Loss), Atlanta (Win), at Green Bay (Win), at Minnesota (Win) Carolina 9-3: Tampa Bay (Win), at New Orleans (Win), Dallas (Win), at Atlanta (Win) New York Giants 8-4: At Philadelphia (Win), Kansas City (Loss), At Washington (Win), At Oakland (Win) Tampa Bay 8-4: At Carolina (Loss), at New England (Loss), Atlanta (Win), New Orleans (Win) Dallas 7-5: Kansas City (Loss), At Washington (Loss), At Carolina (Loss), St. Louis (Win) Atlanta 7-5: New Orleans (Win), at Chicago (Loss), at Tampa Bay (Loss), Carolina (Loss) Minnesota 7-5: St Louis (Win), Pittsburgh (Loss), at Baltimore (Win), Chicago (Loss) Washington 6-6: At Arizona (Win), Dallas (Win), New York Giants (Loss), At Philadelphia (Win) Philadelphia 5-6: Seattle (Loss), New York Giants (Loss), at St. Louis (Win), at Arizona (Win), at Washington (Loss) 1) Seattle 13-3 2) Carolina 13-3 3) Chicago 12-4 4) New York Giants 11-5 5) Tampa Bay 10-6 6) Washington 9-7 (9-3 in NFC) Minnesota 9-7 (7-5 in NFC) Atlanta 9-7 (5-7 in NFC) Dallas 8-8 Philadelphia 7-9 If the Skins win 3 out of the last 4, I still think they make the playoffs. I think the deck is slightly stacked against Atlanta and Minnesota, and really stacked against Dallas. Going 2-1 against the Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys is an aggressive goal for the Skins, for sure. If the Skins are going to lose one of those games, it has to be to the Giants. Losing to Dallas would let the Cowpies into the picture. I think the last wildcard spot goes to a 9-7 team, and if the Redskins are one of them, they'll get it on the interconference record tiebreaker. 0-4 against the AFC West this year, it sucks looking at it, but I'm glad the wins are coming against the NFC! We need to root for the Bears a lot coming down the stretch. Their games against the Falcons and Vikings are vital. And Carolina will be our other favorite team, with games against Dallas and Atlanta. |

i thought the skins only won 6 games last year, so 7 wins means they improved by one game. lets not forget that denver gets our #1 draft pick for next years draft, just another reason the skins need to finish strong. i don't wan't to read a bunch of articles next year about how stupid the skins were to give up a HIGH first round draft pick.
