Let's remember he's doing this without his best pash rusher and some serious question marks in the secondary.
He learned from that call though. Don't think I saw another rush with less them 4 men for the rest of the game.

I'll give you the secondary issues. Best pass rusher must go to Kerrigan. I love Orakpo like every other fanatic fan but Kerrigan has played better and gotten more sacks. But if both were playing together this defense would be 100 X better.

Kerrigan has 16 sacks in his first two seasons, Orakpo had 19.5 in his first two.

Agreed our pass rush would be much better with them both in there.

This is why people need to be careful before they criticize Coach Haz. He is one of the reasons why we made it to the post season. Regardless of where the Redskins ranked on defense this past season, I'm really glad that Bruce Allen extended Haslett before the season started.

It's a happy medium; players are stepping up, Haslett is covering up deficiencies, and of course RGIII's leadership has inspired everyone's play.

Rather have Haslett get a HC than Kyle:

Jim Haslett could draw interest for NFL head coach opening

Didn't think Haslett could pull this off. He's earned his job back if this good play by the D continues.

re: Hey Ho, Haslett has to go! (or maybe not)

We gotta finish the season, but the big question is are their any better coaches out their right now defense wise. Out of all the coaches fired/available? If that answer is no then we stick with Haslett. If there is I'd hope Haslett gets looked at for a HCing job or simply cut/fire him. However... MS is a loyal HC. Denver fired him cause he refused to fire his DC back then and replace him.

So unless Haslett gets offered a job as HC somewhere I don't see him going anywhere. Unfortunately.

A 3-man rush was a nice change up. Coverage wasn't executed well. I saw who was on the field during that defensive play and was like, "yikes!"

Re: Hey Ho, Haslett has to go! (or maybe not)

Late input: During the Cowboys game the defense looked great. Haslett did a great job with the guys he had. I say he stays. If he can make the Redskins defense look that good, then he deserves to keep his job. I heard it was Mike Shanahan who wanted to switch to the 34, not Haslett. Plus the defense had a lot of injuries, which put them in a real bind.

Again, the big knock on him before was that he couldn't adjust in games (Amendola this year; Joe Webb last year for example).

Has he been adjusting now?

What about the Colts and Saints?

Yeah I thought about them, but for the Saints SB run Williams' defense was flat out balling, especially by creating turnovers. It wasn't an iron curtain type of defense but arguably the most opportunistic defense I can remember.

The Colts could be an exception, but then again P Manning is THE exception, right?

(I'm betting on the Broncos to win the SB this year btw)

We have talent on offense and other good alternatives to call plays if Kyle left. The same is not true on our defense. we pretty much have the worst talent in the secondary than any team in NFL history and our defense has locked down high scoring offenses. I hope Has stays.
Worse talent in the secondary than any other team in history might be stretching it a tad, but Haz is certainly schemeing like a mad genius.
