Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel
Titans-
Giants- Falcons- Browns- Raiders- Cardinals- What will Ravens do? Mention that Tomlin might leave for a year on TV before returning to coaching in 2027. |

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel
Ranking the current 6 openings; will rerank if more openings occur.
1. Giants- There’s some good players on both sides of the ball to build around. Only big task, keeping Dart upright. 2. Raiders- You have the top pick in each round. Can start off with franchise qb Mendoza or could trade down and stockpile picks to reload. 3. Titans- Cam Ward started to look better later in season; so you could have the qb position settled. 4. Falcons- There’s some pieces and they could win the pathetic South. QB is the question mark. Kirk played better down the stretch than earlier or last year. Could run it back with him but need to develop that long term guy. Is it Pennix or will injuries fell him again? 5. Browns- They have a good defense but offense is a mess. Watson has one more year left and could be playing in 26. Sheddur did enough to earn a shot to compete for job. Browns also have 2 1’s, they could trade to get a QB. 6. Cardinals- Reports say they are likely to move on from Murray. Then what? They have 3rd pick. A quick look at the other 6 teams that could open up: 1. Bills- Best team if available, should an opening occur. Maybe a new coach is all they need; should they fail this year. 2. Ravens- 2nd best team available, should an opening occur. Maybe a new coach can get Lamar over hump? 3. Bucs- 3rd best team available, should an opening occur. Think their decline was in part to Baker not really being healthy. 4. Steelers- a middle of the road team that has no long term qb. Should Tomlin depart; odds are some losing occurs before rebounding. They really need one bad season, to get in position to draft a qb. 5. Dolphins- They are likely moving on from Tua, whether or not Daniels come back. 6. Jets- have 2nd pick , could draft qb. Long way to get. |

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel
Harbaugh isn’t an offensive guy and he won’t be chasing coordinator jobs anyway

Harbaugh won’t be unemployed long, but a shock for sure.

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel
I might agree if it were clear who he'd bring in as coordinators, particularly OC. Given his breakdown with Jackson and the similarity with JD5, I'd want to be sure he had a viable plan in that area, because he's a defensive coach. To be fair to DQ he brought in KK because he needed someone he could totally trust with the O, which mainly worked out. I'd want to see Harbaugh bring in someone with real NFL pedigree and/or a young up and coming in the McVay/Shanahan mould. At least he'd give us immediate confidence he could rebuild the D though.

I like the idea of keeping DQ. From what I have read it seems like a relatively weak HC field. (Whatever that means). If so if DQ nails these two coordinator picks we are in a good spot if not he will probably be released in what I will assume will be a stronger group of HC candidates.
