Re: Draft talk rounds 4-7

I will probably catch some flak for this post but I hope Doughty makes the team. He always seems to be there for us when everyone else goes down. I guarantee he has more starts than any other backup in the league!

Hopefully Rambo will settle down with the off the field stuff. He is no damn good to us if he is oft suspended for drug issues, as well as other things. That being said it is indeed a steal. This better give us a solid defensive backfield for the next several seasons.

I am loving every decision being made in this draft.

It's so great to be able to look forward to a draft and be genuinely excited about it. I used to dread draft days in the previous regime.

This is the opposite of the last few years. No trading back, and I know who some of these players after the 1st round are.

By the way, HOW THE HECK did Florida State not win a National Championship. They have 5 players drafted in the first 2 rounds, including a QB, and now they have 9 players taken in the draft. Thats more then freaking Alabama who has put together a program comparable to Miami in the early 2000's.

Lots and lots of potential for turnovers. Shanahan wasn't kidding when he said he wanted that to be the focus on Defense. I mean they now have 4 ball hawks on the roster in Hall, Rambo, Thomas, and Amerson. Of course I also find myself feeling a tad uneasy given our tendency to give up big plays last year but hey gambling can be fun right?

Phil Steele thought they would win the national championship going into last season.

The way they loaded up on tackles in FA let us know it was going to be a competition rather than drafting for that position.

WE are loaded at RB as well though. Helu went down, but this is his first injury, the guy we drafted was oft injured. Another tackle in the mid rounds would add depth and let us get rid of some scrubs that we have been keeping around.

Da'Rick Rogers if he is there. There is no risk right now.

I agree. He'll probably go undrafted at this point.
