You would think that the perps being protected in these situations were on the verge of curing AID's or Cancer. Like if we could just hold off for a little bit on exposing Sir Rapes-a-lot we can save all these people.

Glad somebody mentioned this. To say the NFL has a domestic abuse/child abuse problem sounds silly. Society has one. I know we have to bring the nfl into the conversation as far as what their stance is, etc. However some people (not necessarily on the WP) make it seem like their is a genetic link between football players and abuse?!? |

Our beloved team isn't without its own controversial issues and list of players that have done a variety of morally outrageous things from DUIs to accusations of abuse. Hell, we picked up a guy that went to jail for killing someone while driving drunk. We picked up Larry Johnson after four arrests for domestic violence. While it was something many mentioned, again it wasn't something that caused outrage... Fred Davis had issues while on the team. I'm sure there's plenty more. |

@APkrawczynski
An eye-opening development: Nike stores in Twin Cities have pulled all Adrian Peterson merch from shelves. Nike. So you're already looking at 3 sponsors making moves or making statements. That's a surefire way to get the NFL's attention. The irony here is that Nike doesn't support child abuse, yet they support exploiting children in 3rd world countries that work in bad conditions for low pay.

Still a trash organization for not making the decision on their own. I mean now they are basically saying "we didnt think child abuse outweighed winning and losing, but we do think that it outweighs losing money". Hogwash. No offense Hog1. Vikes are a bunch of morons. Rather yet, Ziggy Wilf is a moron. That said, I wonder if Bob Costas is going to get on his soap box about these issues like he did the Redskins name?

Re: Around the League: Week 2
I still think the Vikings are handling this situation better than the Ravens handled Ray Rice. I'm not saying they're doing a good job, but more like the lesser of two evils.

Re: Around the League: Week 2
I wonder if the Vikings were making that decision or the NFL? I think the Vikings made their decision 24 hours before with reinstatement, what changed since to go back? Anheuser Busch change things maybe? I think this was the NFL saying, nope he doesnt play.

I think the Vikes just had their hands forced sooner. They both would have handled it equally as horrible for equally as long if given the opportunity. |
