There are lots of reasons for his development to be slowed. At the same time, keep coming back to "It's a 3 step drop." I am hopeful but am really beginning to get worried he may not make the transition.

Expectations for the rest of the season...

Its a three step drop and a quick release but Griff doesnt trust himself. So..,he takes more steps- its not that he cant count. That would be a red flag though for sure. |

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
Well, I think the appropriate phrase would be he needs to get his shit together. He is a supremely gifted athlete and a smart guy. In fairness he is by far our best hope at QB greatness and as far as I am concerned, he has this season to demonstrate that he is the leader of this team and.......the player we gave up sooo much for

Except maybe for the wide receivers who were running wide open all day. Although they could have done a better job of hiding their frustration.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
Whatever it is, he looks bad out there. We can talk all we want about what it might be, but to me it seems he has definitely regressed from his rookie year. I can't recall him having trouble with 3 step drops 2 years ago. It kinda feels like he just can't handle the pressure, both literally and figuratively. And if that's what it is, hopefully we know soon enough. I'd rather move on than waste another 2 years wondering if he can get his shit together.
I feel bad for RG3 but at the same time we don't have any other options than saying "time to nut up or shut up." He is just another piece on an overall shitty team. If he is as bad as he looks right now, I don't see how we aren't going to be set back for a few more years, because I haven't seen anything out of this front office/scouting dept. that says they will be able to get us out of this shitstorm. I guess it's time to strap in, because it looks like we're in this for the long haul. |

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
I've always felt the O line was bad but its looking like RG3 is worse. Its easy to point fingers at both of them cuz they're both just awful.
SS, I'm assuming the Skins are looking at drafting a QB in the off-season?

Expectations for the rest of the season...

So even if Griff looks God awful for these last games, and we decide we dont want to pay him? 18 mill is alot of money. I keep hearing everyone say we are stuck with him for one more year. If we decide to extend him - we must do so by may of 15 - so we would basically be committing to two more years rite? Edit : i know 2015 is his last year of the four yr deal but they have to decide to exercise his option for 16 before the 15 season even starts. |

That would certainly be ideal. If there is a QB coming out that seems like a solid pick and he is there when we go. That is going to be a tough decision. Although i do agree that we should bolster the hell out if the oline first so that our next man up doesnt get murdered. |
