Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
Sounds like he wants to get out before people start to figure it out and ruin his practice as well.. If he's that bad at his job, I can't imagine that we won't start hearing more stories by other patients and athletes..

I think the ability to reach a predetermined outcome is a prerequisite of being hired by the NFL..

The NFL questionnaire to hire a Neurologist is "If a player dies of head trauma, are you willing to blame the death on an ingrown toenail?". If they answer yes, they are hired. |

Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
It's stupid to dismiss a neurologists expertise based on one persons rant on twitter. People get very upset when they get sick and post crazy things -- and the very best doctors can't magically fix everything. His profile says he's a neurologist trained at Georgetown & Duke, was a Chief Resident, President of the Virginia Neurologic Society, and is a co-chairman for an advisory committee for Medicare. That's a *stellar* resume and I'm disappointed and embarrassed to see the NFL / ESPN smear this guy's reputation.
I wouldn't blame him for getting out of a contract w NFL. Too much publicity. I'd bet Griffin is just one patient he sees in a busy practice and has led to front-page news stories on ESPN. Too much hassle for not much benefit for him. |

Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
Well this article seems to tell the real story...
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13...-iii-backup-qb - - - Although Kirk Cousinswas named Washington's starting quarterback earlier this week, Redskins owner Daniel Snyder and president Bruce Allen want to keep Griffin despite the financial risk associated with retaining the former Heisman Trophy winner, a source told ESPN.- - -

@JsteelznSkins
RG3 may in fact make it through the weekend. But he will not be a Redskin when the season starts. Working trade. Falls through?? Cut This guy is definitely in the know. This is what I expected a smart GM to do.

Re: Cousins to start 2015 Season
McCloughan IMO is doing a good job at being the voice of reason in this whole RG3 situation. He is not going to get rid of RG3 without getting something in return (like Jay would). And he's definitely doing a good job at convincing Snyder to move on from RG3.

Anyhow, I know Redskins have been talking to some teams but I don't know how serious the talks have been. Still feel some team will step up, only takes one.
