https://www.profootballnetwork.com/i...istorical-data "Some reports have Pickett’s hand size at around 8.25 inches, while others tell of a figure slightly under 8. Whatever the case, this isn’t your usual hand size discussion. This is legitimate uncharted territory. A historical comparison — using data provided by resident RAS guru Kent Lee Platte — shows just how far off the map we are. Over the past 37 seasons, 650 quarterbacks have registered hand measurements, either at combines or pro days. Of those 650 quarterbacks, Pickett would have the third-smallest hands of the group with his reported measurements. Only Tony Lowery (7.63 inches) and Doug Hudson (7.25 inches) had smaller. Divide it up, and Pickett’s hands are smaller than 99.6% of all hand measurements on record over that range. He’s in the 0.4th percentile." That is a pretty big cause of concern imo, especially since the NFL ball is slightly larger than NCAAF. He's older too. He will be 24 by next season. So he should be ahead of other guys right now. But other guys will probably be better in a couple years.

I would dispute that Jamin Davis was BPA when we drafted him.

Also the Rams did not use a first round pick on Warner.

This is what the combine and Pro Day workouts are for. If Pickett has trouble w/ the NFL ball then they'll see it right away. It is probably why he wears gloves, to get the grip.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I hope you aren't looking to get draft picks, they aren't worth it. QB isn't the only position that is bad in this draft. Bottomline don't trade good players for draft picks when it is a shitty draft class.

Less than we could have before he decided to throw a tantrum and get into an altercation with our All Pro team captain DL Jon Allen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Payne is a good player, we need to keep good players

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I wouldn't wholly disagree, but we have Allen, Matty I and Settle backing them up. I'd say if there's anywhere we have good depth, it's DT. We can't afford to pay them up when their contracts come up, so makes sense to consider draft capital while we can.

What do you guys think of Sam Howell? I don't watch college games so I don't know much about Howell or any other players. Although Howell caught my attention when I watched Dyami Brown's highlights last year. |
