Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"
Thanks but no thanks. We have a QB now, we don't need to cover up our passing game with big name receivers.

After the way Andre Johnson silenced 92K people at fedex field, it be nice to have a huge target with fantastic hands. I still am shocked BAllen wouldnt go after Boldin in the offseason. I could only imagine having a big WR to allow Moss to do what he does. But if a 2nd rounder was too much for Boldin then why would we give MORE for VJackson? For this year at least we will utilize and take advantage of having a QB with a brain/experience to spread the ball. But we must PURGE Vinny out of this organization that means next year we DO need a big WR b/c Thomas/Kelly clearly left us unable to compete. |

We also need Kareem Moore to come back. That TD pass to Andre Johnson probably doesn't happen with Moore.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"
I don't know if there's a player on this roster that would have been able to defend Johnson on that particular play. It was an all or nothing play for Houston: Find your best guy, throw a jump-ball to him, and hope he comes down with the ball -- it worked.
Only Darrell Green or Sean Taylor might have been able to break up that pass. I'm trying to remember what Kareem Moore has done to make people so confident everything will be fine once he's back. |

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"
To me it depends on Williams. If he comes back in a relatively short period of time, I say we find a way to make this work.
If Williams is done, forget it. |

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"
I don't know. VJax is a deep threat. Deep threats are useless when their QB doesn't have time to throw. We can obviously get by with Brown at LT, in fact he might even represent an upgrade at this point, but the difference in the amount of time McNabb had to throw was night and day when between Trent was playing and after he went out.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"
Sorry, my bad. I was still fuming mad after the loss so I didn't read your post as closely as I should have.

Re: V. Jackson "Prepared to Sit out season"
It's funny that as much as the term "football shape" was on Redskins news, people are not concerned about the toll that Jackson's hold out has on his "football shape". Case in point, Darrelle Revis, probably the best CB in the league, seems to have been sidelined by a hamstring injury. Many speculate that Revis' issues may stem from not being at camp and getting his body in football shape.
After tonight's massive air attack, I don't think we have much of a WR issue. Definitely not worth paying the price that it will cost to get this guy. So I think this issue is pretty much dead.

I personally found it hilarious when I learned that not only did he leave the game after pulling a "hamstring" but it happened during that play. Obviously thats why you don't talk trash like that. Any other day the whole world would have given Revis the benefit of the doubt, now it looks like he couldn't live up to covering a slouch. Everyone saw the built in excuse coming from a mile away. I just never thought he would cash it in.
