Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
I'm really surprised no one has been talking about Barrett Ruud. I thought he was a solid ILB. Anyone heard anything? I have been saying I think we should give him a look.............

I think at this point the only big time signings would be Rex (although I'm curious what is taking so long) and a RT. I wouldn't mind us picking up Nate Clements if he is not too expensive.

Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
Does anyone have an idea of what kind salary cap space we're looking at right now? I know we don't have to meet the floor until Dec. or so anyways so it's not like we have to spend money right now, but I'm just wondering.

Anybody know if we're planning on doing anything else? Smoot? I'm surprised we don't have RT resolved by now.

Thats what's I have been sayings the whole time, there is a reason y he isnt in camp , its not because of him not being able to get on the field , he could watch films and prep, was he at the players practices??? (rex im talking about )

^Those vets can't start participating in team activities until August 4th (signed or not) so, likely they won't sign until just before they report to camp.

Re: 2011 Redskins Free Agents Rumors and Reports-Part 3
Any news on FA atlanta OG Justin Blalock? He might be a good signing and a position of need at left guard. We'd have a massively overhauled O-line if we sign him and Ryan Harris.

Not so fly. Takes very long to read defenses and forces some bad throws. Good with the short to intermediate routes, especially to the TEs. To be fair, he had very few threats to throw to during his time at UVa.
Is he on our radar? Sorry but im way outta the loop. Just got back from a 2 week vacation in europe. I see that hanyesworth and mcnabb are gone.

But is was, as I mentioned, put in a tough situation. Mainly a run first offense at uva when he was playing. Combined with limited receiving options make it tough for any QB. With all that being said, I would be shocked if he remains on the practice squad for a long pd of time.
