I dont know why I really dont have a problem with McNabb - well except that he had totally lost any ounce of talent he ever had when he came to the skins - but I really cant hate him for that. As far as his person - I dont know he never really rubbed me the wrong way. I hate............

I've met and talked with guys like Sam Bradford, Adrian Peterson etc and I never asked for an autograph

I was never been turned down for an autograph as a kid, guess i was lucky.

Magic Johnson has to be the coolest guy around. always signs autographs, probably the nicest megastar there is out there. I've asked three separate times and he's signed each time and smiled. I've even had the privilege of getting to meet him on more of a personal level through my dads work. Just a true class act... impossible to dislike him.

Most athletes I've gotten to get autographs from as a kid are really nice guys, or acted like it anyways for me. It really takes a special kind of person to turn down a kid for an autograph in my mind. 5 seconds of writing your name on a paper turns into what will be one of a kids best moments in all of his childhood. I've got a couple other cool autograph stories, but no need to name drop... or write an essay for that matter.

Not really into asking for autographs anymore though, maybe a picture if it's really that big of a deal to me. I just don't hold these guys on the same pedestal i used to as a kid.

Yeah that's how I am, growing up my idol was favre which is weird because I was a skins fan but it's because he's from my home town, anyways I was able to meet him and got a signed football. I'll say this Brett favre really is a good dude IMO, even as I got older I still remembered him taking the time out for me, then I went to a Dallas raiders game around 15 years old and Jerry rice was a total douche bag so they are all different

There are a lot of athletes who don't sign autographs but they can't be kind about it. I remember being with a player once. And for the life of me I can't remember who it was, I want to say Miles Austin but I don't think that's right. Anyway, someone asked him for his autograph and he said "Thank you but I don't sign autographs. It's a pleasure to meet you and I really thank you for being a fan" And they shook hands and exchanged some small talk and that was that. And it was totally respectful and fine.

So I mean if you don't want to, either be polite about it like Austin or fake interest like London Fletcher.

Ok so london fletcher is a dick, darrell green is a dick. Is there ANYTHING else you would all like to let me know before i cry myself to sleep?

I have an Art Monk autographed 1980(?) redskins program or team capsule or something From skins training camp when it was in Carlysle PA. My Dad took me. Monk was a rookie so maybe he was still digging the autographs but if anyone tells me he was a dick too im gonna flip out.

Did you happen to catch the close up of him when RG3 was leading the Skins down the field and he knew he was going to have to kick another one? The dude looked like he was going to cry. I mean he looked like he pissed himself and just wanted to cry - he was so nervous. Funny thing is I absolutely had not a doubt in my mind that he was going to make it.

was it when he was warming up or sitting on the bench? i can't remember which one i noticed, but yeah, he looked like a little kid who just got yelled at by his dad or something

I saw his face - he looked shook. I was concerned by his demeanor because I could tell that he was overwhelmed. My concerns increased as the kick approached that right upright.

It's probably the right thing to keep him on the team since he made the kick but I wouldn't be mad if he were released. I have some doubts about his ability to focus under pressure after this game. As a professional athlete (or any role in life actually) it is very important to be able to use stress and channel it into focus in clutch situations.

So I won't say much here about Darrell Green, because he is someone whom I would talk to during the school events he would show up to. Once I got to know Darrell I thought he was a real nice guy. He just wants his space. Some athletes will sign autographs all day because they love the attention. Some won't sign any. Some will rarely sign some depending on when or where you catch them. Redskin fans, meet Darrell Green. I have a friend who met Ronnie Lott and asked him for an autograph and Ronnie acted like he wanted him to watch his car for 30 mins like it was such a hassle and a big deal. A lot of it depends on the Athlete and the time and place where you see them.
