Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
that oline was hurrendous tonite. and griff was very dialed back after last week. he could have bursted after the one stiff arm play. i saw him make one full speed burst all game. i havent been happy with Morris but hes a Vision/Power back and its safe to say there was no hole to see. from trent over its rugged it really is.

The coaches are keeping things basic to be able to better evaluate players. RGIII is working to improve his weaknesses, not to showcase his strengths. In the regular season, we we'll see a much more dynamic offense with game plans that play to RGIII's strengths. Many of the harshest RGIII criticisms in this thread were typed by people who over-reacted to a preseason game performance. We'll know a lot more about where RGIII stands after a couple of regular season games.

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Lots of folks talking up Cousins' performances over the past few weeks. On most teams there might be something to it. But the Redskins are in to the end with Griffin. I think i've always felt like they give him one more season. He looks slow, vulnerable, and un-inspired. I think there is no way we see Cousins in the game short of an injury. I doubt that Gruden benches him in the 1st season. A QB battle is more believable next off-season.

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Do you think we are so busy trying to turn Griffin into something he's not? Maybe it's too much of a shock?

An NFL Quarterback? Might be a lost cause.

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Funny, we don't want Robert to run, don't want him in a read option offense, we want him to be a better pocket passer but nobody wants the growing pains associated with making that transition.

My favorite criticism from last night is that he didn't run more when he had the chance, which comes off a week of demanding he slide and stop taking hits. |

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Him not taking hits was one of the best things he did last night. However, not sure why it takes him 50 yards to decelerate so he runs his knee into the bench. Seems to be exaggerated like a lot of what he does.
