Google "All 22." That should help your quest.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...

So a friend of mine I grew up with and is also a Skins fan sent me this today. The year I was born,1975, the Redskins Franchise regular season record was 258-258-26. The year we graduated high school, was Gibbs' last year the team was 425-351-26(+74 win difference). They are now 568-553-27(+15). The way things are going some time next year I will turn 40 and for the first time in my life this storied Franchise might have a losing record.

I've said this before here, but why doesn't that concern us more? Should it?

I mean, no one (aside from Young and Shanahan it seems in this ridiculous back/forth he and RG3 still have) believes that Griffin isn't working hard, studying film, etc.

But if you're working that hard. If you're spending 12 hours at the facility daily on a regular basis..and you still can't grasp basic fundamentals?! I mean, that to me is kind of a big deal

Yup. It reveals a lot about who RGIII is as a person. And the truth ain't pretty.

I agree, it should. The critique, however, that he doesn't work hard or put in the time is simply wrong and misdirects the focus. He may be "football stupid", but he is not lazy. If he is working hard, however, he should be moving on and improving.

Patrick Ramsey worked really hard, had a big time arm and was a really smart guy by all accounts. It didn't matter, however, because he was slower than molasses in winter in every aspect of the game. On top of that, despite being a smart guy in the objective sense, Ramsey was the epitome of "football stupid." When he finally bounced out of the league, he was still making the same mistakes he made in his rookie year - even though he worked hard everywhere he went.

I am holding out hope for Griffin. Maybe he just hasn't had the right teacher. Maybe this latest blunt call out by Gruden is a wake up call. Maybe he sees the light, stops looking for the bigger play, and it all starts clicking. I sincerely hope so 'cause I really, really like the guy.

But like Lotus said, a three step drop should NOT be that difficult to learn.

It reveals who he is as a QB, not a person imo.
Edit: if im correct Smoots concern is the kid is a student of the game who practices tirelessly but isnt producing on the field. Great characteristics. Great work ethic. Good guy. Bad QB.

Maybe it's an IQ thing, not a character thing?

But what should happen now, should the franchise mold an offense around RG's abilities, or give him rest of the season to learn Gruden's offense and if he can't, cut the chord?

It's not an obvious answer. RG hasn't showed enough promise to bet the offense/franchise on him again, but Gruden has (never) showed enough offensive genius or leadership to deserve the reigns either.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...

I dont think it is a character thing and I certainly do not think it is an IQ thing. I dont know if alot of us fans are trying to see RG-3 in some sort of negative light so that it is easier to accept what is quickly becoming a failed attempt to rite the ship by hanging our hats on the man?
All I know is he stays out of trouble. Seems to be a nice kid from a nice family. He is a hard worker. He is smart. He is a world class athlete. He simply does not seem to have the ability to play QB the way he needs to. Its sad. It's literally frightening for a fan, but its that simple. No need to try and throw fuel on the drama fire and make it anything more than that.

What if we didn't accidentally get DeSean Jackson? I don't think Roberts is that player that takes the top off of defenses.

I truly think we have seen signs of progress from Griffin, there were at least a handful of plays where he moved in the pocket and kept his eyes downfield, and you can see he is thinking about protecting himself, going through his reads etc, the question is if it can click under pressure, and I really hope that Gruden knows Griffin well enough now, that he's using this to push him along. I know there is a LOT of weeping, moaning and gnashing of teeth, in fact I did my share Sunday, But, this is what it looks like when a coach is training a quarterback. He's putting him in the game situations, and hopefully using the tape of game footage to go through the situations. Remember, in my opinion, the Shanahans never really accepted the challenge of training him, they just reverted to the RO as the primary system.

According to media "sources", Robert is a tireless worker in the weight room. Not the film room.
