It sounds like your just want to fire guys w/out any plan. Keep your day job Warthog.. lol.

BA is listed as the Redskins Team President but is also acting as the GM. The first thing that needs to happen for the Redskins culture to change is for him to be fired. I suggested Kyle Smith because he’s the head of the scouting department and already in the Redskins organization. Smith has done a very good job with the team’s draft the last couple years. It is important to get someone competent into the GM job IMMEDIATELY because the team needs to trade guys like TW and others for DRAFT PICKS before the Oct 25 trading shutdown.

Gruden needs also to be replaced immediately. He’s not only coaching poorly but he’s making stupid decisions in order to get fired. If you move O’Connell into the HC position we actually can see how he does calling plays - since Gruden is doing it now instead of his OC. IDEALLY, you’d want the GM to make the HC decision, but there just isn’t time. Gruden and Manusky need to be fired ASAP.

Why the rush? Because the team needs to trade away as many older or expensive FA players like TW, Norman, Richardson and yes even Scherff to get as many draft picks for 2020 as they can. The offensive and defensive schemes need to be immediately improved so the new GM can evaluate players for their ability. Right now the offensive and defensive coaching (under Gruden and Manusky) is so bad, every player looks terrible.

Haskins and other rookies need to be played to get experience and to test their ability. Without getting a new GM, HC, DC right away you can’t fix the system enough to evaluate what they have or start the rebuilding process.

Hire Smith, O’Connell and a DC for this season only. See how they do with this season and then get into the post Season for the long-term contracts.

Only by Snyder giving full power to the GM can they get an elite prospect. Snyder’s reputation is justifiably terrible. Maybe Smith is the best the team can get for this season and as a long-term replacement. Same with the HC position. O’Connell May be all the team can get because of the team’s horrible reputation.

Time for a dose of reality. Take your medicine and stop dreaming.

1. Dan Snyder will never change and he will probably outlive you. If he doesn't outlive you, then his son will inherit the team and he will be a worse owner than his old man.

2. Bruce Allen isn't going anywhere. He is exactly what Snyder wants.

3. Sure, Gruden and Manusky will be fired soon but they won't be replaced by young guns. Tomsula will probably be Interim HC and DC and Callahan will probably be appointed by Allen as the OC. Allen and Snyder have no regard for up and coming young coaches. They have proved that.

4. This clown car that used to be the Redskins under JKK will continue to roll downhill for as long as you live.

Jay's kicking a FG from the 3 while down 14-0 was named the dumbest coaching decision of the week per the Athletic....

A worthy selection. Gruden could have had the QB take a knee. That would be the only play call that might have been more stupid at that point.

Honestly, it wasn't so much that the call was stupid but the impression that Gruden quit on his team that bothered me the most.

I disagree. Taking the penalty when they had the Giants stopped on 3rd town instead of declining and letting the Giants try a 45 yard field goal on their opening drive. Instead of down 3-0 or tied at 0-0 if they miss, the Giants convert that 3rd and long and end up getting a TD shortly there after.

With the Redskins allowing a ridiculous amount of 3rd and long conversions and the way the Giants were marching down the field no way does a coach with anything larger than a pea brain give them a 2nd chance to keep the drive alive.

I think that is a great hindsight reaction but any team would take the penalty push a team out of field goal range. It is hard to fathom how really bad this team is on 3rd down that they could let that happen.

It wasn't a hindsight reaction, when the Redskins took the penalty I went ballistic. It didn't really push them out of FG range, the Giant kicker has a strong leg. After a turnover in your own end being down only 3-0 would have been a mental boost. I understand playing the percentages, but you have to factor in your teams strengths and weaknesses.

I really believe Jay came into this season looking to get fired and expecting it, he joked way too much about it in the Pre season. When we go down to NE sunday by 30+ I just don't see anyway Dan keeps him Monday.

Hire Kevin O as the new HC

This is where im at. Continuity is out the window for multiple reasons at this point. Why not at least give an in house candidate a trial period?

Honestly I would prefer fan seat winners being called down to round out the coaching staff. People might start showing uop to the games if they think they can be calling in plays. Totally worth it and can't get much worse right?

The fact folks called the Skins inquiring on his availability to interview was the first thing I heard that he was well respected in some circles.

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?

So when Gruden gets fired, who thinks he will end up telling how screwed up this organization is in regards to Dan and Bruce? We've all seen him hold nothing back when talking about players (ie. RGIII)...but will he do the same when asked about his time as head coach for the Redskins? All the things we speculate about what he does or doesn't have say over with regards to the roster, ast. coaches, draft...does Bruce have total control over him or not? Or will he keep his mouth shut...like Mike Shanahan has pretty much done.

If Jay wants to be a coach somewhere else he will keep his thoughts to himself.
