Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

Scout take on Carr:

"Well, first and foremost, the Cowboys had a massive need at the position and considering the weapons in the NFC East, getting a reputable CB was a must. I like Carr. He is still young, plays physical and can play man or zone coverage, although I think he is better as a zone guy. However, I also think he benefited a great deal from having [Brandon] Flowers on the other side of him in KC, as the Chiefs often put Flowers on the opponent’s WR1."

Cowboys greatly over payed for a zone cover guy, not too bright.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

i think a lot of WRs and CBs got too much money... including garcon.

fletch, winston, merriweather, and nelson would be good adds and i'd probably call it a day at that point. we're stuck with hall for now.

I agree, but not because i dont think Robinson is a pretty good player, because of the kid throwing him the ball. I am so glad we did not draft Gabbert. Everytime i watched him play he looked god awful. Him along with Clausen were the two worst QB's i have ever seen play. Gabbert looks lost out on the field and any sense of pressure and he folds.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's worth that, and the jags had to pay extra for sucking/not having a viable QB... but if they don't get a better QB, he's going to seem like a bad signing even though he isn't.

Needed to replace the now-dead Thomas Jones. (dead is used figuratively)

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker

I would imagine that the Jags have to over pay offensive talent to come play for them. Other than MJD its a pretty bare cupboard.
