Re: RG3 and Gruden?
Don't know if this has been posted on here but it doesn't sound like we'd be on the hook for a whole lot if he finds another gig, even as a coordinator.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
Wouldnt the other owners love Allen to stay? So the Washington team keeps sucking?

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
Fred Smith of Fed Ex is no longer a minority owner. I believe the others are Dwight Scharr and a guy named Rothman. Michelle Snyder may be one as well.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
The right leader can change attitudes in a couple weeks, culture in a couple months and the whole team in a couple years. Gotta find that guy.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
If this is correct, Cole is literally the only one that has this. I've talked to about - half dozen local beat reporters and columnists and some national guys, and everyone says this is incorrect

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
Maybe you're thinking of when he was considering a bid to buy the Jaguars. Still with the Skins though

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
I think trading or cutting RGIII could be a disaster for this franchise. Robert is only 24 years old and, in the past, he has been able to recover fully from major injuries. He is clearly a very intelligent young man and he works hard. Now, he has been humbled and he knows that he a lot to learn about playing QB in the NFL.
You have a young man who could come back next year fully restored to health with all of the physical gifts with which he entered the NFL. If he is motivated to get better over the off-season (and he'd better be), he could come back with a much better understanding of the offense in which he is playing and improved mechanics. This is a player you want on your team. Reluctantly, I have to admit that for RGIII to have a chance to become a very good QB for the Skins in the near future, the Skins need to retain Jay Gruden and let Robert develop in the same offense for the next few years. I think Bruce Allen should make it crystal clear to both Jay and Robert that, like it or not, they will both be here next season, that it is still Jay's job to develop Robert, and it is still Robert's job to learn everything he possibly can about this offense and how to be a pocket passer. Robert should also be told that it is his responsibility to earn his way back on the field and that he is expected to do whatever it takes to make that happen by the opening game of 2015.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?
So how many weeks do you give Griff next year if he still looks like a lost puppy on the field?
