Wormley I would be very disappointed with at 17. Malik McDowell would be a better pick, but when you show a lack of passion for the game, you cant go at 17. I think you could move back and get White. He would be disappointing pick at 17.

Allen stock has been falling a little bit. Depends on the offensive players rise in the draft...WR, TE, RB and QB.
What's so interesting in this run up to the draft is the striking differences of opinion among not just fans but among the experts on numerous players at the top of the draft.

One thing most of us can agree on is that this draft is loaded with talent, at least through Round 3. I think you could make a Top 100 list, print it out, throw darts at it and get three good players.

There is a lot of talent imo...and I think where the talent lines up fits our needs too.

When its comes to the first round:

Its interesting because everyone been talking defensive players in the first round up to about 2 weeks ago. All of a sudden, here comes the QB and RB talk. IMO, 2 QBs could go top 10, 2 WR before our pick and possible 3 RBs and I think safely 1 TE will go before us. Also at least 1-2 O-Lineman will be chosen before us. Now think about it...all of a sudden there could be more Offensive players taken than Defensive players taken before out pick. Its quite possible several quality defensive players could fall.

I like Derrick Barnett...I probably would put him at #4 for me. I think he would be a quality player.

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects

Yeah, the draft seems to be is setting up more favorably for us to fill some of our needs. Trading down in the first round wouldn't necessarily be so bad, IMHO. I'd like to have another pick in within the first three rounds.

Right now, we have five picks within the first 123 picks, #17 (1), #49 (2), #81 (3), #114 (4), and #123 (4). For example, if Denver wants a QB at #17, we could move down to #20 and receive their 3rd round compensatory pick #101 in return.

Anyone think Matt Jones could be trade bait on draft day?

I really don't. Not much value there...I think we bring him to camp and see if he can make it out.

Charles Harris Draft Profile – NFL.com

Can someone tell me about this guy? He is moving up boards.

More Skins meeting news:

"Redskins scheduled to fly to Alabama tomorrow; will meet with OLB/DE Ryan Anderson (6-2, 253/2nd round projection)."

Retweeted by Keim.

Ryan Anderson Draft Profile – NFL.com

From how the Skins have been meeting with Prospects, our biggest interest have been in these units:

Safeties, Pass Rushers/Linebackers, RBs(mcc and Cook) have been the focus

Yea, Charles Harris is definitely moving up.
Mayock now has him in the Top 5 for edge rushers.

Please pick Rueben Foster. Watch this and tell me you disagree: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1mXBHGBLKE

The guys he hits tend to go the opposite direction they were going. Dude is a hitter.

He's moved to the top of my board at 17, its a no brainer imo if he is there.

I love his highlights, and if some other players weren't there I would not hesitate to get him at 17 (although he may fall farther after the drug test), but I honestly like Reddick better. Foster's hits won't be as impactful in the NFL and his focus on the big hit leads to whiffs, broken tackles, etc. and he has a history of stingers and a shoulder surgery as a result. I'd be worried that he won't hold up to that abuse against NFL players.

I'd be OK with Foster, but Cooley's film breakdown today said he was like Perry Riley - but could cover. That'd be a talented upgrade for us, but still wouldn't be Luke Kuechly. Could consider Haasan Reddick if he's available.

Highlight films are misleading, because they only show the good plays. Here's a film breakdown from a random internet guy.. It's not ESPN worthy but points out a consistent hesitation / difficulty Reuben has quickly reading plays..

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects

And I don't dislike some of the other folks floated for pick 17 -- but this guy is a wrecking ball, and we need to build our D (28th 3 of the last 5 years).
