Anyways, about the players stating they wanted Zorn to stay: that doesn't mean anything. You ask 100 NFL players during the season if they support their coach, and 99 will always back the HC.

Yeah, but why would you want a coach to stay that is an absolute failure? I think the guy was too nice, like Norv, or even Spurrier to get the team going. It was obvious 6-7 weeks ago that the guy sucked and wasn't getting the players to perform. Yeah his playcalling sucked ass, but the guys still are paid to make them, and most of the time didn't. Shanny is going to be like a marine drill instructor compared to Zorn, and I bet that is why they liked Zorn.

Sorry--I wasn't being clear. I agree with you, but I think that the players actually don't want Zorn to stay. They just say that in interviews because it's the professional thing to do.

Players favoring a softer coach is more of a college phenomenon. I think NFL players want coaches who will help them win, and being a hardass is perfectly fine as long as it helps them win. Just look at Tom Coughlin.

I am not sure about that Zorny. The only coach that was even semi tough on the players in the post Gibbs I era, well was Gibbs himself. THis team shows no character at all, no desire to go all out for 60 minutes. That is a lazy unprofessional attitude. Look at the pathetic Browns, they keep trying and they are like us, no hopes for the playoffs. At least they have some pride and also appreciate the support from the great Cleveland fans and their Dawg Pound. The losing itself gives the players something to fall back on anymore. IF they win great, if not, well it is almost expected, hence our beloved team's fall into the pit of mediocrity. Either way they get their overbloated paychecks for NON PERFORMANCE.

Doughty and Landry = MOLESTED on national TV...

Absolutely NO pressure ALL NIGHT on Manning with TWO SUBS on their line...

Man I wish it was the 2010 preseason already ... you know the one time of year we feel good about the Redskins.

Funny I was thinking the same thing.. You know Honestly if we hadn't gone out and got Allen and Shanahan, I probably would have stopped watching the skins under SNYDER.. SERIOUSLY

Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread

When will our defense force a turnover and take it for 6 points?
