Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Funny when people choose to take Theismann seriously.
You can't make any direct comparison of how Cousins has played vs backups against how Griffin has played vs starters. Just ridiculous. |

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Both Colt and Kirk played in pro-style offenses in college so they have more experience in the setup and reading defenses. RGIII is basically about 3-4 years behind those guys in terms of learning. To me, that's why when you get guys like Robert, you sit them for a year or two until they learn. Playing them too soon can crush their confidence and we've seen it time and time again.

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Had all day to throw as well. Embarassingly bad. And I don't know how jumping in the air to throw the ball and running out of bounds 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage have anything to do with learning a new system.

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
I definitely don't think Griffin should start over Cousins... yet. This is going to be a very telling year.
I can't imagine that if he has abysmal stats this season that people won't start thinking he's a bust. If he can finish this season in the top 15 starting QBs, I'd say that's a successful year and will quiet the haters considering how straight up bad last season was. Anything lower than that and I can't help but think the "RG3's a bum" folks will get even louder. The dude is healthy this year, he's had all off-season to practice without the brace and all pre-season to suck. He's got to shake that shit off and move forward. We know he has the skills and the capability to deliver, he did it all in 2012. I hope he's not one those easily scared guys who talks a big game, then gets stage fright and weewees himself when it's time for his big solo.

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
It's so dumb how RG's mistakes are magnified and his visible progession as a pocket passer is minimized, while Cousins' mistakes are minimized and his big plays are magnified. It's like people want to hate our starter, which makes no sense.
So on that note, can we quit the "RG is a bust because he looked bad in a preseason game" crap? Until we see the Houston game, we won't have a good enough look at the guy to make fair judgements. |

you have to go out of your way to find quality analysis on him at this point. chris cooley's pretty good, but it's admittedly hard to tell when he's being a homer and when he's giving quality analysis. |

Re: Ravens v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Love how Kap does his RG3 impression on third down and gets no criticizing on his behalf. Not to mention he fumbled.
