At that point you have to take a chance. The game wasn't lost on that play though, despite the pro-Rg3 people trying to use it as proof that all the sacks are the O-lines fault. no the game was lost on the 3 and out the previous procession, where RG3 took his patented 9 yard rop and burped the ball until someone sacked him.

Re: Skins vs. Niners Gameday Thread

Two trains of thought:

1. We need to give RG3 the rest of the season to see what we have.

2. Rg3 is done, we need to give Colt McCoy the rest of the season to see what we have.

We're really boned either way.

1. We let RG3 play, we lose and have zero passing attack
2. McCoy plays. We have a QB that doesn't play scared but also has a noodle arm.

Either way, at the end of the day, we don't have a starter.

You have to go with #1, at least you get a good draft pick and know that you don't have to exercise the 5th year option for $18 mil.

Neither one is the long term solution. Give Mccoy the ball to see if we have a good backup? Maybe he surprises us.

Re: Skins vs. Niners Gameday Thread

Our team sucks. I'm happy the Defense was playing ball today though. I haven't seen a single post calling for Haslett's head...yet. Alfred ran his A@@ off.

Rough loss either way. We haven't had a solid line since...forever. I would really like to see RG in a game where he is not running for his life, or getting his back knocked through his chest. Those blindside hits have to suck, a lot of character to keep getting up. I would have removed my helmet and clubbed Moses a few times.

Totally agree man! Sick of hearing these jabronies put the blame on RG. He's not playing great, but neither is the o-line. For that matter, we don't get consistent performance from the def either. Collectively speaking the team constantly falls short in one way or another. Right now I'm not too concerned with any one player.

You have got to be a troll. Any other starting QB in the NFL takes RG3's place today and it is a win. Any other QB.

Hes not playing great? He is not even playing half way decent. Everyone knows the defense and oline needs a major overhaul including their respective coordinators/coaches. The problem is you cant run away from what we gave up to draft Griff. Also lets stop this BS about how the QB is just one guy. It IS a very important piece to the puzzle unless you have the 85 bears or something along those lines on D. You only have to look at any successful team over the last 100 years to see that. Of course it is a team sport, and of course you need balance and playmakers in every phase, but the QB is damn important.

Re: Skins vs. Niners Gameday Thread

2-13 on third down conversion.

73.6 QBR for the game.

106 yards passing.

You aren't going to win with a QB putting up these kinds of numbers. Sure, the OL failed at times during the game, but bobby three sticks wasn't good either. Still holding onto it too long, still tapping the ball with his hand when he goes back. Still indecisive about throwing it. Not being able to read blitzes and being able to audible out or adjust blocking. This doesn't even take into account that our defense got him the ball 3 extra times off of turnovers. No wonder Jay is frustrated as fuck.

Re: Skins vs. Niners Gameday Thread

Jesus Christ Almighty will the pro-RG3 people stop making excuses for him!! Show me his best play these last 2 games. It probably was where he handed the ball to Almo and managed to get the hell out of the way. He has not hit one pass down the field, I mean not one goddamn completion more than 12 yards. The only long pass plays are where the WR runs after the catch.

You can't keep saying oh well he didn't really cost us the game the D did, or the O-line,or the ball boy. A QB is not judged by how well he didn't lose the game, he is judged by how well he won you the game. Three 1st round and a 2nd round for a guy to hand to ball to Almo, I could fucking do that. Stop setting the bar so low and looking at this guy with rose colored glasses. He is a bust.

I don't think he's a bust just not right in the system.

OK, don't jump on me for this: we need to bring back Tyler Palumbus. Moses is an unmitigated disaster at LT. Let Compton play LT and Palumbus play RT. We'd be better off that way.

While Tyler is a turnstile there was a reason he started the season. I think the Moses decision is mostly talent eval at this point.
