Comment: Locklear has been a starting tackle for the Seahawks for five of his previous six seasons and has lined up on both the right and left side. He is a better fit as a right tackle as he lacks top lateral range in pass protection, but he is athletic and can make the initial kick step to get out and pick up the edge rusher. He is more of a finesse blocker than a powerful road grader but does have enough sand to hunker down and bow up against the bull rusher. He shows body control and balance when sliding with the pass-rusher and adjusting to counter moves and does a good job of using his hands to control and steer opponents on by the pocket. He could use more strength and bulk in his lower body for drive blocks and does not always show as much aggressiveness in his blocking as you'd like to see.

Thanks Dirtbag...this guy looks like he is about the same as Heyer but with a ton more experience and mobility.
Based on his starting experience, he is certainly an upgrade over Heyer and that is a good thing....it is always good to have an ex starting RT as your primary backup tackle....I am actually kinda psyched about this pickup...even though my knowledge of this guy is limited....if anyone else has info on this guys...please share

I think they caught him whacking his pee-pee in the locker room with Tony and Jerry.

Outside of UDFA's? Yes. We resigned Jammal Brown and signed Sean Locklear a Right Tackle that came into the NFL as a Guard from NC State.

Hoody is really trying to bolster his pass rush. Not sure if he's going to get much with AH and Carter.

Expect even more 4 man fronts.. BB, hate him or not,.is always developing his "system" to the point that it's not even a system

Pats are switching to 4-3, Darth Hoody will get something out of them.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 3

AC is a good 4-3 end, but he's a terrible 3-4 OLB... that's how he went from like 11 to 2.5 sacks in SF, then we bring him here, he gets 11 sacks, we move him to OLB, and uh... he's off the team.

that's just bad personnel planning. he's a straight up 4-3 pass rushing right end and not much else, though he's not terrible against the run.

Ricky Williams to the Ravens...

"Adam Schefter
A new backup for Ray Rice. RT @ProFootballTalk: Ricky Williams' deal with the Ravens is for two years, and it's worth up to $4 million."
