These rumors of a bombshell story about to break makes the rapidity with which the name was changed intriguing. Two front office employees fired the same week the minority owners partner together to sell their interest. Was the name change a preemptive appeasement by Snyder as a strategy for handling this bombshell?

Maybe. Probably not. My guess is that the WP got a few quotes from some disgruntled employees, same old stuff. Other reporters are just chomping to spread some more vitriol about the team.
