Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?

You know, I did a little research on the whole Kirk Cousins situation and what Marshall Faulk and Steve Smith Sr. were saying about Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins is not well-liked by his wide receivers. Not at all. So the behind-the-scenes intel is that they're not big Kirk Cousins fans.

- Dan Patrick, Dec 6

Patrick hinted at his source, saying it was not someone affiliated with the Redskins organization, but rather “somebody at the game,” which does not rule out Marshall Faulk or Steve Smith, Sr., or any of the 91,712 fans in attendance at AT&T Stadium last Thursday.

“During that broadcast, this is what I had to say about Kirk Cousins,” Patrick said Friday. “I said somebody at the game said to me, who’s not affiliated with the Redskins. I actually had somebody from the media in Washington, D.C. ask me last night, ‘Are the Redskins the source?’

- Dan Patrick, today

Come on Dan, thats lame what you did there. I get it, you got hours to fill.

So freakin lazy and such a cheap hot take. Marshall Faulk and Steve Smith don't know jack about he relationship Kurt and his receivers have.

Was it Faulk or Smith who said he didn't see Kirk go over and comfort Crowder on the sideline and as a result faulted his leadership?

I would love to see a clip of any decent QB in the NFL "comforting" a professional receiver after a a performance like Crowder had. It would be much easier to find clips of NFL QBs chewing their ass.

Steve Smith should have stuck to his day job for another year or two.

Look for my upcoming new book entitled The Kirk Cousins Contract Story: How Hubris and Intransigence on Both Sides Combined to Poop on Redskins Fans.

Other new books you might enjoy:

The Fart of a Deal by Dan Snyder

Tag! You're "It"! by Kirk Cousins

Winning Off the Field by Bruce Allen

i Na care no mor; fuk! a Reskin by Scot McCloughan

Looking forward to reading those.

I also suggest a short novel entitled "Wide receivers: a tale of drops and mediocrity " co-written by J. Crowder and T. Pryor, with a nice preface by J. Docston.

After seeing all of our holes, idk if we shouldn't just let go, sign other players that can help and draft a QB (Baker) in the 1St. I love KC and would take him back but not for 28 million

The guy has a losing record as a starter and doesn't really play like he wants to stay. I mean he is stinking up the joint as of late, when he should be playing lights out to get paid. I thought of him as a nice backup to RG III, nothing more when we drafted him. He was a good QB at MSU, but nothing really spectacular, as most MSU QBs end up being serviceable backups in the NFL. We tricked ourselves thinking he was more than what he was. He did very well last year for a stretch and the media got on the bandwagon into this season. They were all saying pay the man like 3 weeks ago. I wouldn't pay him $20 million, much less $25 million now. Another thing, the QB/WR relationship is purely symbiotic. A good QB will only do well with a good WR corp and vice versa. An elite or very good QB can only make a really good WR look better. Our WR corp is a god damn joke. Even if Kirk was playing good and the losses and failures on the offense were mostly on the WR corp, it would be useless to pay all that $$$$$$ if the guy just doesn't have the tools to work with, but alas I don't think Kirk is all that, so just cut the cord and start over. Our roster sucks period!!!!!!!!

Time to start over I guess. Why can't I just settle down with a nice competent team. Why do I always go for the crazies?

I now fully expect to see KC go somewhere else no matter what offer the Skins make. I don't think he wants to be with a dysfunctional organization like the Skins anymore.

I agree and its a legitimate reason to not be here.

I do wonder if we tag cousins again, would San Fran be willing to trade Cousins for Jimmy G straight up? Id take that trade....call Josh McDaniels to see if he would be interested in HC job and fire Gruden.

I also expect that Gruden will be gone. The only thing this organization does well is lurch from one thing to the next.

I love Kirk, best QB we've had since Theisman IMO but I don't see him here anymore. If I'm the Vikings or Dolphins I'm paying him 30M to come.
