People need to chill with the CBs, I am sure we will get one. But right now safety sould be a slightly higher priority. I don't want to go with Doughty and Gomes as our starting safeties.

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
That was a very well written article that conveyed the exact feelings I have on the way in which the big dogs are handling things around here now! I like it.. I really like it.

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
I was really hoping for him.
It's no shock that TB is taking all of the big-contract players from us, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. We're making some very smart moves so far, getting solid guys whose skills fit he team perfectly (Garcon/Morgan). We do need secondary help desperately though and I've always been a fan of Wright. TB needs secondary help more than us though, they have Talib and Tanard Jackson, who can't stay out of criminal/disciplinary trouble.

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
yeah I just noticed that, they had the post up @ 0904 this morning saying it's a done deal,, too much back and forth with this guy. either ways it's not a deal that will make or break the Redskins

Per Adam Schefter:
Eric Wright reaches agreement with Tampa Brandon Meriweather to visit Washington today

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
As of now, the word I'm seeing is that it's NOT done with Royal.
Eddie Royal - Denver Broncos - 2012 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com Scout.com: Eddie Royal Profile Either way, we'll have Moss or Royal along with Garcon/Morgan/Gaffney/Hankerson/Paul...so we'll be loaded up at WR with or without him. I think the Garcon and Morgan signings were enough, as we weren't in dire WR help, just needed a #1 which we now have with Garcon and potentially with Hankerson later on. If we don't sign another WR, we'll be in great shape...we just need a RT and DB help now. I expect us to get Brandon Meriweather on the cheap today. No one else will want him. He left Denver last night without a contract. He's depth at least, not an answer but we just need bodies at Safety now with maybe a solid starter in the draft. We only have one FS and one SS in Gomes and Doughty, with possibly Barnes being converted.

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
It would be nice though and adding him with our other cast of recievers would be a benefit to this offense.
Merriweather ischeduled to visit according to a headline in the Hog Haven article regarding Royal.

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
It's a strong possibility.
