Greg Toler to the Colts...

Grant Paulsen ‏@granthpaulsen
The #Colts have announced that they've agreed to a deal with CB Greg Toler. Former #Cardinals DB was on the #Redskins' radar.

#Redskins have reached out to D. Hall about coming back but he's generating lots of interest: Dal, NYG, NE, DET, ATL, MIn, TB

This has got to be like a junkie's withdrawal for DS, and those who are hooked on the Skins grabbing the FA headlines every season. I'm not sure if I qualify, I didn't want any out of the gate signings, yet from 4pm on Twitter and theWarpath have been my primary focal points. (work is so yesterday anyway!)

Re: D.Hall. Looks like Dallas is interested in him....at Free Safety. But if the Skins reached out to him since he's been cut, would be nice to see him come back.

I hope Dallas signs him so that RGIII can burn his ass on a regular basis.

Dansby wouldn't be a bad pick up for a low cost.

ATL? I can't see them bringing him back in. NE, NYG will not pay him what he is looking for & I can't see him wanting to go to DET. I don't see Dallas as well because he seemed to leave here on good terms.

I see the main players being us, MIN & TB due to their cap room.

I'd take Hall as our FS in a heartbeat. Can still draft a guy to groom.

Wouldn't you also be grooming Hall as your safety?

Lol people don't realize that you can't just take one person who has the ''measurables'' and move them to another position and they'll just --like the snap of the finger-- fit right in and work out lol

Hall's skill set measures out pretty strong at safety i.e. he'll immediately be an upgrade over Williams. Williams has minimal ball-hawk intuition, Hall is way above average in that regard. Hall can be tough as nails when he wants to be, and just as importantly has a high football IQ to sniff out plays. Obviously that's partly why he's a ball hawk, and the move to safety will maximize his skill set.

It's the smart move for the Skins IMO. Irresponsible to count on a 2nd/3rd round draft pick to have the football IQ to play FS well. We can look at other FAs, but they're either gonna command more than Hall or be one year stop gaps. And, again our defense is unique. Hall knows it inside and out.

Almost every defense in the NFL is unique. Halls biggest problem is he bites on plays and lets players behind him... And hall got dragged by jake delhome, I will never forget that. He's a good tackler for a corner, but for a safety he's below average and running backs and tight ends would drag him. I think I would draft a safety who played safety in college and has experience playing safety and understands he can't let someone behind him. So agree to disagree. I don't see hall playing safety all that well, especially with how inconsistent he is and how often he gets beat by average receivers

I traveled to Carolina for that game. Haven't had confidence in him as a tackler since. He had a great second half of the season, and I'm worried who we are going to get to replace him at CB, but to move him to safety would be a nightmare. Banks could do just as well in run support.

I like the idea of DHall playing FS for Dallas.
