Judge upholds Connecticut gun control law passed after Newtown shootings

Judge upholds Connecticut gun control law passed after Newtown shootings | Reuters

(Reuters) - A federal judge on Thursday upheld Connecticut's tough gun control law that was passed in the wake of the deadly 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The stringent law is constitutional, said the ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Alfred Covello, denying a legal challenge by a group of gun owners.
The state's gun control measures, among the strictest in the nation, were signed into law four months after a gunman in December 2012 killed 26 children and staff in Newtown, Connecticut.

Re: Pro-gun article

I am wondering if a certain person will go away if we ignore them? I am starting to think a small group of individuals in here post things for the soul purpose of trying to annoy the masses. I really think the internet allows people who are shunned and outcast in the real world to feel like their existence means something when it does not.

At first I was like, I wonder if they treat the 1st amendment the same way: Right to free speech, except nothing deemed offensive language, and anything related to people's safety and national security. And freedom of association, except those deemed politically incorrect or divisive.... And no, neither amendment should be parsed like the butcher job above.

Then read the line: "provided that they (gun owners) register them".

Holy historical revisionism, Batman!

This horseshit makes me angry. There have been numerous textbooks discovered that have re-worded the Amendment to fit the liberals' idea of what it should be.

Parents have to stay on top of their kids' education so much these days, just to re-teach them the truth.

There are bigger problems with how how history is being taught than that. In every major war somehow people think Americans were always the good guys. People believe Americans never did anything bad, even though the US has done more terrible things in its short existence than a lot of other countries have done in millenniums.

I have no problems with guns as long as people are consistent across the board, that includes drugs, speech, and every thing else. People always seem to pick and choose which "rights" should be protected (see Fox News or any major news channel for a prime example).
