But that's just me. Not a good representation of the NFL fanbase as a whole; in fact there's even plenty of Redskins fans who think differently - pretty sure there's at least a few members on here who think he's a diva. I would like to see a nationwide poll on what people really think of RG3. I'm sure a lot of people would say he was a diva/other negative name without even thinking about it, but it would give us a better idea of popular opinion than just reading on message boards. |

I think its strange too. If as a society we are trying to have equality regardless of sexuality than isnt the press conference sort of backwards. Why cant he just be a late round pick thAt is trying to make a team? I could care less who he is in love with. |

On an entirely separate subject, I frigging love Alfmo: Alfred Morris: Andrew Luck has to go down - ESPN

Re: Paintrain's all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread (Version 2.0)
Eh I can kind of see why but yeah maybe a bit overboard. I worry though that he could become a Tebow like figure. Where if he gets cut at any point before the age of say 34 it actually ends up being a PR nightmare. Luckily though as a DE instead of a QB he can be rotated. If Denver hadn't landed Manning they could have easily found moving on from Tebow to be exponentially more difficult.
On a side note during the draft I'm kind of ashamed I found myself grimacing at the on air kiss which made me wonder if someone like me, who is a staunch supporter of gay rights reacted in such a way, what in the world would a true homophobe be thinking. ...hold on I have to make sure I used staunch right. I understand he's gay and all that but it's 2014 not 1960, idk I just think it's too much and espn has gone crazy overboard with it all. I love the network but cmon man.

Re: Paintrain's all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread (Version 2.0)
Dirtbag's Daily Johnny Maziel Thought: If I was a pass rusher that wanted nothing more then knock Johnny out I think I would probably have an easier time breaking into Fort Knox. First he's protected by Luke Joeckel and Jake Matthews. Then the next year Joeckel gets replaced by a likely future top 10 pick in Cedric Ogbuehi playing RT while Matthews kicks over to LT.
Now in Cleveland he is going to be protected by Joe Thomas and promising 2nd round pick Joel Botonio. Some QB's don't even have 1 tackle to protect them yet Johnny somehow always has two these days.

Some day we'll get to the point where an openly gay player is no big deal, but until then we have shit like this

Also a good chance that a close family member or former friend is gay as well. Anyone remember this guy? Meet Jack Burkman, The Republican Lobbyist Trying To Ban Gay Players From The NFL GOP Lobbyist Behind Anti-Gay NFL Bill Has A Gay Brother BTW he's back in the spotlight: Boycott launched against openly gay St Louis Rams player Michael Sam, by Christian lobbyist Jack Burkman - Americas - World - The Independent Personally at this point I kind of want to encourage this type of behavior. Every crazy statement people like Burkman make only serves to reduce their influence and credibility.

Speaking of crazy people the ultra talented 'Sandy Hook Truther' Colt Lyerla {TE Oregon} is apparently unsigned.
