Just wanted to say...

Kirk Cousins played a good game today...

At least right now, he is reminding me of Joe Theismann...a very dependable quarterback, possible Pro Bowl quarterback, who can win games, but not Hall of Fame material.

Honestly, I am completely fine with that!

Kirk Cousins looked very good today, and seems to have grown into the starters possition.

For once in a long time, I have some hope as a Redskins fan.

These last few games we just need to give the ball to Jones. Give him 20-25 carries. For all his issues with fumbling, he just makes plays that Morris can not make. Enough of the starting Morris and giving him a few token carries.

Until the O-line gets better at run blocking all bets and/or logical thinking should go out the door and the coaches should look for trying to do things different to try and make it work. Obviously whatever Callahan wants to do can't be done with this unit too many injuries and young players on the line perhaps? Either way it doesn't matter.

Let's get more RB screens, maybe put Jones into motion and spread him out somewhere. The guy is a threat with the ball in his hands. I kind of look at him the way I do with Jackson. Guys who can do big things with the ball in their hands are the guys you want with the....ball....in....their...hands. Find ways, get creative.

Oh I would expect them to expect to see it. In fact that is what worries more about the Eagles game since they have a pretty solid pass rushing defense. I could see them mimicking what Dallas did with all the stunts.

Apparently on that critical down screen play we snuffed out:

- Cutler audibled to a screen bc he had 2 receivers with single man on that side so he called out "Fulsom"

- Compton heard that and interpreted that as a screen play audible (im guessing fulsom = prison = guys guarding 1 player ?)

- compton yells out screen

- at the snap, all the D lineman run to the screen right away

- compton ended up making the tackle

reminds me of how the cowboys apparently picked up on our not subtle audibles like kirk yelling "17" which means run call changed to the left. call out an even number, it means run play changed to right.

nice to see. tackling has gotten a lot better lately.

Reminds me of when Rob Jackson saw Romo trying to be sneaky in the 2012 finale, saw him talking to (I think it was the RB) pre-snap, thinking he would catch the defense off guard, so at the snap Rob Jackson immediately runs to where the Romo lob goes and picks it off.
