Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22
Bottom line, if the team doesn't care about fans leaving over the name after 40 years of Fandom, then why should I care about the team. One thing Gibbs and the Skins before DS, their actions reflected true care for the Skins faithful.

Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22
If we had Justin Herbert half of our problems would be solved. The name change wouldn't be as tough to swallow. Snyder being the asshole that he has been would or could be pushed to the side.

Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22
exactly.. we never have a QB that we can rely on for a full season.. Even with Kirk we knew he would fuck up half the games

I don't even have that either, but I did for a year or so, and it was pretty good.

Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22
I was looking at the uniform pics and it struck me. I think the "Commanders" circle logo that has been throw out there is not a red herring. Look at the picture of the jersey with the Three Stars on in inner collar where the "Team Effort Tradition" used to be. There is a sewn circle below that. I think thats where the circle icon/alternate logo will go.

Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22
I believe it represents the 3 Stars on the DC flag. Which I think is kind of cool.

Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22
Yes it does, and the three stars and two bars on the D.C. Flag come directly from the George Washington family crest/coat of arms. So Commanders would be a fitting name.

Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22
As negative as I am about the upcoming rebrand, I will take a breather and hope Jonathan Allen is being honest in his end of season comment on it.
I really do want them to get it right, I just don't trust the FO from RR up to DS ![]() Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk |

Best case scenario is they get a cool jersey and a franchise QB in the draft. Most likely scenario is they sell the naming rights( Washington Airmen sponsored by Delta) and they evaluate veteran QBs all offseason which means they wait to see if anyone is cut before training camp or they bring in Cam or Andy Dalton. |
