I mean seriously when is there a statue of limitations? There has to be sketchy stuff that's been going on for years. If you start reaching that far back, you're going to open a HUGE can of worms.
Statute. Statute of limitations. It's not a statue. It's not a sculpture of limitations.

Sorry don't mean to pick on you, TheMalcolmConnection. It was just an opportune time to use a good Seinfeld reference.

It's going to be interesting to see what they do if the special master rules in our favor. $36 million in cap space next year does us no good this year. I'd love for the ruling to include a pick this year to account for our inability to approach free agency at full capacity but I know that's not gonna happen.

Re: Redskins, Cowboys could go “nuclear” over cap mess

The part of this that gave me hope came about from the fact that until now the story has barely been covered on official NFL outlets. When it first broke there was a vague mention of it on NFL.com and NFL Network to which if I remember correctly we weren't even specifically named. It's only really picked up steam NFL media wise recently with the filing for arbitration.

Compare that to bountygate where Goodell appeared on NFL Network then held a press conference at the owners meeting to answer questions about bountygate.

My point being the NFL wanted the world to know about bountygate and send a clear cut message where as with cap gate it seems like the league has tip toed around the issue with the exception of Mara who I'm loving right now with his foot in his mouth.

Maybe this should go in the Grind Your Gears thread, but can we come up with something more clever than Bountygate and Capgate? I'm not saying I'm the man for the job, but I think collectively we can do better.

Probably better suited for the GyG thread, but quick question while we're on the subject. Can I keep calling this gateGate?

Um, good point. This can be Modgate 2.0 - The Moderatoring

or

Modgate II - The Curse of BrudLee
