Re: Gameday

Time to start reading every mock draft available for the next few months. I like football too much.

Re: Gameday

It was a good run. Can't wait to see McCloughan continue to build this thing up.

Re: Gameday

Packers are better than we are. We need a few more guys in the trenches in order to compete with the best teams in the NFL. To me that's where it seemed Green Bay was clearly better, as was Carolina, New England and the Jets. So if I'm SM, that's where I'm looking first, the trenches.

Really proud of these guys. For the first time in a while, I feel like we have a true plan in place for building a winner.

Re: Gameday

Kirk was 29-46 300 plus yards and 2 total tds in his first playoff game. Not bad

I thought he was kind of average today. The pressure got to him a bit and he started going back to bad Kirk on a few plays. But the line had a bad day. Even Trent was getting beat.

Re: Gameday

Packers pressured the QB, we didn't. They won, we didn't. Not a coincidence.

Re: Gameday

Cousins had had the benefit of having a pretty clean pocket to work from the majority of the season. When you get into the playoffs you will be dealing with teams that can pressure you. You need the ability to stand down that pressure and deliver regardless.

Cousins wasn't the problem today though. The strategy by Joe Berry was awful. Sean McVay seemed to get timid once Green Bay took the 17-11 lead....

One of those situations where the game turned so badly out of the 'Skins favor that there was no getting back into it.

He drew alot of coverage away, but our pass pro was not great n Cousins had to rush alot.

Yeah, but for some reason it felt like he was out of the game a lot. For a while there I was wondering if he was hurt...if he wasn't, I don't get it.

I have to admit, I was real disappointed that we couldn't take advantage of their secondary. They got to KC a few times, but mostly I thought he had plenty of time. It seemed like he got a little rattled as the second half progressed...throwing off his back foot a lot, not getting the ball out quickly...just less accurate than he has been in recent weeks.

That being said, KC is the definition of "a student of the game". He will learn from this game and come back strong next year.

The defense disappeared in the second half. Credit Rodgers, because he is one of the best all time, but when I looked up and saw Cary Williams, Quinton Dunbar, and Will Blackmon as the three corners...I'm like ruh-roh, this isn't going to end well.

It's been a while since I felt this much optimism going into the offseason. This team is truly headed in the right direction.

Re: Gameday

As the OL goes so does the QB. Rogers is a perfect example, his OL did a great job. Today was a bad performance by our OL (allowed at least 5 sacks) that's why Cousins struggled.

Cousins was extremely lucky not to have thrown 3 picks today.
