Redskins best free agent move

Hey, I was looking at the free agent lists, and why did we pick up Archuleta? He's younger, and he's a million cheaper than Ty Law, but Ty Law is WAY better. Wouldn't you all have liked to see Ty Law rather than Archuleta? And how come we haven't gone after Sam Adams? I think Andre' Carter is going to be another Dexter Manley. That was a class move, I'll give it to Gibby and Gregg there, but why Archuleta? Seriously, thats going to bug me. Ty Law is way better. Randle El is going to make a serious impact. I've heard from San Francisco fans that Brandon Lloyd is a younger T.O. He's a cancer in the locker room. We're going to have some issues with him, unless Saunders puts his foot in his ass soon, I mean, as soon as camp starts. Why else would SF get rid of him so easily? We traded a draft pick for him, if I'm not mistaken.

i voted carter for two reasons
1) drew bledsoe...... he's a statue in the backfield,he does not scramble very well but if he's given time he can pick a defense apart.
2) Eli manning...... he's still young, put pressure on him and he'll make mistakes.

i like all the skins pickups but i think carter gives us a huge weapon against two of the three nfc east apponents.

ty law would have been way more expensive and he's a corner, not a safety. he can play free safety, but he'd be out of position and taylor would be displaced too then. apples and oranges and all that.

and before calling lloyd a cancer, lets at least see how things go. gibbs has earned some benefit of the doubt when he says he thinks a FA is worth getting. ST has off field troubles and some shady things, but his teammates are all for him and he has no trouble in the lockerroom. Hopefully winning and evteran leadership (san fran lacked both) keep him in line. there's no way of knowing until the season starts though.

sam adams is old and slow and expensive and he wouldn't be an upgrade. we've got 2 younger guys doing the job.

My money's on Lloyd. I think he and Moss are going to terrify defenses for many years to come.

Not a free agent, but Al Saunders. If for no other reason than he enables Gibbs to stay as head coach for longer than he would have otherwise.

DallasFan3121, well, someone already beat me to what I would have said. In addition, my question would be: Does your coach have the initials: HOF in front of his name, like HOF Coach Gibbs? Second question: How did that PO experience work out for your team this past year? Oh, that's right, you didn't make the POs!

I voiced my pick of Carter earlier, but I need to add AA has had a major back surgery, and was displaced in his former team's starting line-up on a bad Defense. Ram fans were glad that he left. That should tell you something big about him. I hope their fans are wrong, and I hope AA works out as a great signing for us.

I further agree with whoever said Al Saunders. Great move by our Coaching Staff!

Lloyd's issues could have been overblown, I'm sure Gibbs and company did their share of background work on Lloyd and if they are satisfied he's a good fit, that's all I need to know.

Yesterday, Andre Carter called Lloyd a talented player who makes catches in games and practices hard throughout the week. What more could you ask for?

And viewing his highlight reel and the catches he's capable of making, he'll probably catch Brunell's throw-away's too.

I think all our new additions will make an impact in one area or another, but RE will probaly have the opportunity to touch the ball the most. Receiving, passing, Punt & KO returns will give him the most opportunity to make a big impact. It's that versatility IMO that gives him the edge. Of course a good pass rusher will always impact a game, therefore Carter would be my second choice.

If you combine Randle El and Lloyd (since they address our problems at WR) I would have voted for that.......but as a single move, I think Carter is the best move so far. I've been dying for a pass rushing DE for years now, and I think Carter is going to be just what our D needed to become a truly scary defense for the rest of the league.

he gives Greg williams an incredible weapon. he give qb pressure w/ out blitzing. he can create so many packages that we havent even seen yet because in the past he had to blitz just to get qb pressure. its gonna be fun to watch

I picked Randle El regardless of whether he ends up #2 or #3. He will electrify the return games, be utilized on reverses and option passes, and stretch the field on 3rd and long. His most valuable contribution offensively could come as a diversion to free up guys like Moss, Cooley, Patten, and Lloyd. However, if Lloyd or Patten move ahead of him on the depth chart, I could end up being wrong.
