Re: Panic button poll
Why worry? It's preseason! One thing I noticed when we were on offense in the first half. The Patriots blitzed almost on every down. There wasn't any game planning to slow the blitz down. After the team got behind, we got pass happy.
All in all, I am still excited about the season.

Re: Panic button poll
relax, if its week 4 of the regular season and we lose those 3 like we lost the first 3 preseason games then I'll be worried. Its Gibbs, Williams, and Saunders who else do want to run your team? They will take care of it.

Re: Panic button poll
Hammer in hand, ready to break the glass. Its not that were losing these games, hell I dont even care if were losing these games by big margins...the part that has me worried is our offense has yet to put a point on the board in three games, and our looked like a wet paper towel yesterday.

We went seven and a half qtrs. into the regular season last year without scoring a touchdown also, so maybe this is a trend we're setting. |

Re: Panic button poll
I think that it was a good loss, hopefully it deflated our heads alittle bit. I will accept a 41-0 beating during preseason, it is during the season when you loose 41-0 you beat the hell out of the panic button...
I think that our coaching staff wanted to humble our players and let see that they are not as invincible as they think they are...

Re: Panic button poll
I'm not concerned on the whole.. I don't put much stock into preseason games, good or bad so who cares about the result. I don't like to see my team thrashed regardless of circumstance but I don't see the reasons for all of the panic. Truly the season starts about week 6 or 7. Going 3-3 (although I expect better) isn't a death knell for the team. I'd rather the team go into the season fresh and healthy than to have looked great in August.
As for the QB comments after last year I'll give Brunell the benefit of the doubt until we lose a couple of games at his hands. Gibbs has 3 more Super Bowl rings than I do and to him I defer.

Re: Panic button poll
Listen i know its preseason but i think there is alot of reasons to panic. Our QB situation is horrible Brunell gone back to his 2004 and late last season forum. Campbell been nothing i would be to excited about one score in three games. Lets not even tall about Tom Collins. I know its Todd but he plays like Tom. I especially was impressed but Brunells almost suffle past to the patriots for a Td. Even his completions the wr are streching to catch everyone of his passes never hitting them in stride. Don't give me this stuff about 2 percent of the o-fense, are you telling me that every team in the NFL shows their O-fense in preseason but the skins please. I think Coach Joe made a hugh mistake with this candy ass traing camp, only 3 two a days. These guys have practice soft and our playing soft. I know its preseason but come on can they at least look like they care or play like professionals. I done care if they win in preseason, but at least they should look like they have a clue. Every team in preseason seems to be able to move the ball on O-fense, I guess that because their showing thier whole playbook. But that defense wow that Andre Carter what a find all this presure and sack in these 3 games and acurletta he really good in coverage wow. Who didn't see that coming, i did i watch the him get burn with the rams in coverage for 3 years now. I know its preseason we all got burn by spurier, but we should look alot better than we do now. We haven't improved from the bengals game to this one. Hail to the skins and god help us if this is our future this year. Also glad to see the skins trade away another draft pick next year. That why we have no depth because we dont respect our draft.

Re: Panic button poll
The Patriots romped to a 41-0 shutout win over the Redskins at Foxborough in what was the largest preseason margin of victory by any NFL team since the Seahawks blasted the Colts, 45-3, on Aug. 16, 1997 -- the year before Peyton Manning arrived in Indianapolis

Re: Panic button poll
I'd rather lose them all (preseason) than win them all. We will turn the corner thursday against BAL. Does that mean we'll will? No but, the offense will be sharper and the defense will do thier thing.

I agree it is certainly not entertaining. That's where beer comes to the rescue.
