Re: Redskins @ Bucs: Campbell Predictions

JC throws for 250 yards, 3td, 2int.
He throws a couple right to the defenders but Lloyd has his first 100 yard game and td and most importantly we win this game!

Redskins 27, Bucs 17

I predict Campbell's stats as follows: 13/24, 190 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs. The offense will rack up 175 passing yards and 140 rushing yards. The team will squeak out a narrow victory of 17-14, but not because of Jason Campbell.

Our defense is awful but we will hold them to 14 points? I think the Skins need to score at least 24 to win.

He will burn up a lot of time and have delay calls.

Fumble the snap a couple times.

Call all 3 timeout in the first half prior to the 2 minute warning.

He'll settle down by half time and do well the rest of the game and maybe pull out the win.

Not against the sh-tbird offense that Tampa fields. If Tampa's offense scores 24 points on our defense I might have to kill myself.

And different certainly doesn't mean better in anyway, just more conservative. If Al opens up the offense, I'll gladly eat some crow.

Defense should at least look good because TB has no offense.

I think the game plan is going to be very conservative. Lots of screens and short passes. But I hope they let him cut it loose a few times. He can make all the throws.

Tampa D has been playing well last couple weeks, and are looking really good on MNF right now. I think Campbell will have a rough time. 1 TD 2INT. Will we get the win? That is the big question, I really have no idea.

1:1 or 1.5:1... he's a rookie and will throw into coverage (and sometimes guns short passes in a somewhat odd manner), but his touch on deep balls is crazy good, and his pocket presence/poise is very good too. hopefully the parts around him make it easier and the playcalling works towards team strengths without being too much for him to handle in his first start. TB is a good defense though and he may be asked to pass a LOT.

I am slapass happy. I really thought Gibbs is losing his mind. 3-6, who cares now. We just got a huge breath of fresh air. One request: O-line please protect. Now that the future is in play, let us not "Spurrier" him. We all can see where Ramsey is sitting.

Re: Redskins @ Bucs: Campbell Predictions

I think he'll have a rougher game, just because the TB defense is no slouch. I'm not going to expect a whole lot since new QBs tend to be tight and throw the ball high a bit. I'm expecting him to hit Lloyd on some deep bombs however since he actually has the arm to get it there.

JC best be shopping for Rolex's for the O-line right now. unless they do signifigantly better than they have this year, I may have to revise my TD/INT ratio

Re: Redskins @ Bucs: Campbell Predictions

I think the OL was probably a bit pissed considering that they'd give Brunell some time, and then he'd dump it off.

Re: Redskins @ Bucs: Campbell Predictions

Not like a revelation or anything, but Brunell hasn't really looked comfortable in the pocket this season. Feet not set, etc. I wondered if the O line had lost confidence in him. They haven't really done a good job consistenly in portection or run blocking. Maybe they can get stoked up and kick some ass for JC

I like this prediction. I see the D coming together, just as they were in the middle of the eagles game, bringing pressure & covering well. The staff will take the pressure off of JC too.
