No way...Champ's salary is too high. A great corner, hall of famer, but too much money.

Portis will get more than Betts will. Betts is an outstanding 2nd back...every team in the league is jealous. Throw in Duckett and we have the best backfield in the past decade for sure...maybe longer.

ps- there is no way Rock runs as well as Betts. Not even remotely close.

I hate to say this, but it's been bugging me for a while.
it should be joethEIsmaNNfan. It's Joe Theismann, not Joe Thiesman. I think you can edit your screen name, but not sure.

Well George Castanza got traded from the Yankees for some chicken, that's pretty bad.

P.S. The plural of reply is not "reply's"; it's replies. Haha, sorry that was just really bothering me..

Joe Thiesman is how his name was spelled originally. He changed the spelling of his name while he played for Notre Dame.

Can't trade Portis seriously though. I can't stand Betts he is a tease that will kill you. Rock runs well though for real. Betts runs outta control.

From what I understand he only changed the pronounciation of his name from "theesman" to "thighsman", not changed his actual spelling.
Please provide proof of your thought that his name was spelt that way. If true, I'd really like to see it.

Barber used to fumble too, but no one left him out to dry...give Betts some time to correct this issue.

That's a legit trade...I'd be willing to give up the redskins franchise to the state of CA in exchange for Verizon Fios availability in my zip code. Fortunately, its not my decision to make.

I'm not sure all countries that use the pound, I know England, Scotland, and Ireland...most of the western continent now use the Euro.
I am pretty sure that a pound is a pound, there are no variations.

Re: Portis For Jason Taylor

The only runningback with any trade value is Betts because his contract is manageable. Portis' contract will not allow him to be traded at this point in time. Plus, he is our best offensive player. Let him run in the offense that Campbell ran and you would see freakish numbers.

I think it is funny that Portis has a year where he gets hurt and he is all of a sudden an injury concern. Betts finally has a year where he stays healthy and he is the savior.

Any contract is moveable if the other party is willing. In a world where all draft picks can be traded for Ricky "I live for chronic" Williams, anything is possible.

Portis is constantly getting dinged up, but I think that's because he really has been our "savior" since he's been our lone bright spot on offense in terms of moving the ball. Give him a year with Campbell and a year of 15-20 attempts per game getting breathers from Betts, and we'll see a monster year from Portis...I am excited to see this offense next year.
