Re: Trent Green to Fins Imminent, Daunte Out? Week 1 Interesting
Yeah. Culpepper hasn't been healthy enough to throw the football very well...but certainly he would have been a better option for Miami than Harrington--and a better option for Minnesota than Brad Johnson.

Yes, and that brings us full circle as to why is Miami even considering this move in the first place. This is worse than when we brought in Brunell and we already had Ramsey. I still feel that he got shafted, Gibbs's decision or not.

He certainly got shafted here and elsewhere, but I'm not that concerned about it. We are a better team for it. Ramsey probably deserves a starting job somewhere though. Just not on a good team.

If you think DC is in his prime with his knee proublems you might be confused. These type of knee injuries have ended many NFL careers. IMO, I would take my chances with Green over DC anyday.

If the fins get Green that eliminates a possible trading prospect from the skins in the draft. Without Green it is possible for the Dolphins to trade up to try and get Quinn. Either way I think Duante is out.

If we can kick back for a second and play the "we should have done it THIS way" game, then I think Gibbs should have taken a calm, measured approach to the roster when he came back to the Redskins in January 2004. Why couldn't he have given Ramsey one complete year under his tutelage to learn Gibbs' offense, and see how things played out? The answer of course, is that Gibbs saw something in the films of Ramsey that turned him off. And judging by Ramsey's success since he was traded, it looks like Gibbs was right. So I think it would be fair to say that unless Ramsey tore it up in 2004, Campbell would still have been drafted a year later. Hell, even if he did tear it up, Gibbs might have selected Campbell anyway as his quarterback project for the future. |
