Re: The Offense Was Lousy, But the Defense...
Fletcher, Rocky, and Landry will breathe new live into our D. Add a healthy Griffin and and a healthy Marcus Washington, and I can see us returning as a top 10-12 unit.
I cannot wait to see TO going across the middle with Taylor and Landry back there. We all know that TO's afraid of Taylor, and now he has another head hunter to worry about :smashfrea |

Re: The Offense Was Lousy, But the Defense...
The defense was undoubtedly most impressive. I was very much encouraged by their performance. I would have liked, however, to have seen more pressure on the QB. The only two great QB pressures I recall were: (1) Landry wacking the snot out of Collins; and (2) Golston blowing by his man and chasing down Collins.

Not to exagerate the Landry hit, but it did take Collins a few seconds to get himself together and get off the turf after that hit. It was nice. |

All BS aside. Opposing recievers will hate to deal with our secondary. As bad as we were on D last year, ST still scared the shit out of a lot of recievers. Add Landry to the mix, and apparently London is the REAL deal (as well as a good guy), and nobody is going to want to run a crossing route.

I thought it was nice to see Landry & Fletcher our two biggest moves this summer come in and look sharp. I do not bank much on one preseasson so its still a wait and see but still nice anyways.

Re: The Offense Was Lousy, But the Defense...
I have had that same thought in my mind, I think we could see a repeat of 2005, I like Campbell [I love him compared to Brunell] but I just don't know about our O-line, it could be a real problem with Campbell running for his life quite a bit this season.

Re: The Offense Was Lousy, But the Defense...
You should refer back to my "high expectations" thread.... This is what I was talking about... All teams need time to grow and gel, some of us here expect the BEST all of the time and that is just not reality.

I just don't see a big time line in front of Campbell, Jansen is getting beat in pre-season, and he was beat quite a bit last season as well, Samuels will sure up the tackle position, which brings us to Wade who is a big question mark, this line is adequet at best IMO, regardless of how much they gel. |

YES, yes she is. In case you noticed, Rogers didn't have a ball completed his way. If I lose that bet, it's going to be because Rogers totally shuts down his side of the field.

I know, but I'll lose with a smile if it's because no one throws at him.
