Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
I say 10-6 as well. The defense will be in the top 10 (as long as they stay healthy) and the offense should be at least in the top 15. I think Portis is going to have a huge year. He has a lot to prove.

Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
I voted for 10-6. With a little luck they might be able to pull out 11 wins. Tough schedule as they play 9 teams that were above .500 last year.

Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
I'm going with 11 wins. We will go 3-3 in the division losing to the Eagles and Giants on the road, and the Cowboys at home. The other two losses will be on the road against the Patriots and at home against the Bears.
1st round bye and homefield advantage for the first playoff game. |

Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
I went w/10-6 as I feel a good season is due, but we'll get a bad dose of reality at some point that will keep us from getting more.
I base this on: 1) Improved but not dominant D, we still can't get much pressure w/out sending the blitz. 2) JC & the O line staying healthy for the most part. We've been talking D all preseason cause of the drastic improvement there, but at the end of last year I was really excited for this offense under JC & coming into AS 2nd year. This unit could be awesome by mid season. 3) Turnovers - T. Boswell wrote an article in the wash post last year about how our luck was soon to change. That was when we still had a no. of games left in the season, yet our "luck" never changed! It's just a law of avgs. thing, we can't possibly have so few turnovers this year, not w/the upgrade in the seconday & LBs. I see Rocky makin some things happen & Taylor snagging a career high in int.s |

Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
I'm sorry. I'm one of those blind redskins fanz that always says his squad is going undefeated and in 2007 it hasn't changed. It's just me being a nieve diehard fan I guess. But that Patriots game looks real tough though.

Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
We're going to shock the world! Of course, if we don't stay healthy we're pretty much f'ed. With minimal injuries I fully expect this team to go 11-5. I have faith in Campbell, I think

Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
Before the preseason, I'd have stuck firmly at 8-8...I'm going to disagree with what someone else in the thread said...I think as a whole we have done some things to make you think we're a better team....I'm going to go 10-6, I'm sure we'll probaboly lose a game that we should win (like Buffalo) and we'll probaboly win a game we should probaboly lose (like New England)....
As long as were healthy, this team can compete, if we start losing key guys, I dont know if we have the depth anywhere but secondary to still be a top teir team...its always hard to tell...but I love my skins so 10-6

Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
I really feel our D is fixed, (regardless of the Jags score), and our O will be tougher, to me that will translate to a 10 or 11 win season. We are more talented now than we have been in the past decade or so.

Re: Your final win/loss prediction for 2007
My position on the defense has not changed from a month ago. I still worry about this unit. What the preseason has shown is encouraging, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. The pass defense will definately improve though (with 100% certainty).

While I do not feel we will rival the Ravens, I feel our LB's get better, and our Secondary is twice, if not 3 times better than it was last year. Sure our up front 4 is weak, but with a strong secondary, and good lb's coupled with a healthy front 4, we should be a 5-10 defense this year.

Combined with a top half offense, it should be good enough for 9 wins. |

I think the run defense will significantly improve. How do you figure we'll regress from what 31 or 32? Just London Flethcher's presence alone is worth a few more tackles behind the line of scrimage. |
