Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!

Just referring to how he wants to be mature and a leader like ARE, and then chuckles and says, "nah, I'll start next year".

It's all a big joke to this guy.

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!

Not sure of the local show but they had a guy on who either is with the 49er's or was with the 49er's when the trade was made. He said after the deal was done they just sat back and laughed as they knew that they just got one over big time on us. He said that they thought it was kind of a joke that they could even think of getting a few picks in the deal but they did and then to top it off we offer him that new big deal.

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!

i hate the investment in him, but i will say this. they never involve him...at all. it has to be something he does wrong in practice or something. i mean really we dont need three recievers anyways because we throw the ball maybe 25-30 times. complete maybe 15-20 so that doesnt leave a lot of balls to catch when you got portis, moss, randle el, cooley, betts, and sellers. still i think he could make a play downfield for us, so long as he doesnt quit on his route ala dolphins game. still hate we gave up so much and this guy has done anything for us, he needs someone to call him out, and if he reacts the wrong way, then he gets cut so he doesnt become a cancer.

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!

yeah I saw when we had 4 wide that Cooley was out there, so he's not seeing any playing time at all. That picture Cpayne posted illustrates it perfectly, he's not leaving soon so he's just gonna be in the doghouse all season. I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't catch a single pass all season.

I hope Caldwell is ready to play. I think he could be a big help to the offense. I'm not expecting him to put up big numbers but he can be a quick slant route or 3rd down threat.

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Randle El getting put at the #3. I don't want to over-work the guy. I think he could be a lot better on punt returns with fresh legs and would be able to play better longer. I think by week 9 we should start seeing Caldwell at #2.

I don't see Caldwell overtaking ARE.

ARE has earned the job and has really played great for us so far.

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!

Lloyd is officially the #4 WR now and he's clearly well on his way to being cut next offseason.

Caldwell should be ready for some snaps after the bye as the #3.

I agree, if The Receiver is not getting the ball then how can we truly evaluate him?

Our pedestrian offense, coupled with an apparent lack of chemistry with Campbell, is playing a role in The Receiver's lack of production. Throw him some balls and we'll have a better clue if this perceived debacle of a trade is true or not.

In addition, here are some interesting current stats from other (IMO "decent") receivers:

M.Muhammad--4 catches
G. Jennings--4 catches
D. Bennett--4 catches
L. Evans--5 catches

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!

I believe I said this before in this thread, but Plaxico isn't a little guy. He is a big, physical receiver. Carlos is not a tackling machine he is a cornerback. Carlos was there to make the play, he just couldn't make the tackle Plaxico basically threw him to the side. The way I see it is, if Sean Taylor couldn't make the tackle (he got juked out by the same move somehow) then how should we expect Carlos to make it?

Re: Where the Hell is Brandon Lloyd?!

This team managment i mean, has a huge ego! They pick up players that everyone in the league says wont fit, trade away draft picks to get them and then pay top dollar to have them ride the bench. It happened to Arch now its happening to lloyd. The same happened to Lavar! I think Llyod is an arrogant piece of crap too, but we paid for him, we should at least see if we can get some type of production out of him.
