The fact that we were able to run the ball effectively on them was the key to the game. It kept us from becoming one dimensional. Also, big props for the Portis option call. The Vikings' corner bit hard on that play. A great setup by the offense. |

Was that not the best thing you have seen in some time? They bit all the way. Maybe the best part is when the defender realized he'd been had!

Re: To all you Gibbs doubters
Dude take a chill pill. As usual, when the team wins the HC gets a too much credit. And when they get beat the HC takes too much blame. Gibbs is doing what is expected of him and the highest paid staff in the NFL.

Re: To all you Gibbs doubters
Don't blame him for being highest paid, that's what Dan Snyder offered. Money has nothing to do with this, if he's doing what's expected then how come he received so much criticizim? The thing that people fail to see is what this guy has accomplished with 2nd and 3rd string players. Name me one coach that can win with a backup QB, RG, RT(3rd stringer undrafted FA) WR and FB missing numerous games, LB, S, DB, KR Cartwright missed 1 or 2 games and it hurt ARE our punt returner missed 2 or 3 games and it showed, Thrash backup KR/PR, etc. Murder of your safety. Realize that this man is so especial and under appreciated by some that it makes write stuff like this. The HC picks his staff and everyone is accountable, therefore he gets most of the credit. A team without Gibbs is like your average team in the NFL with no playoffs or hope. To me Gibbs is like the Dalai Lama, he will never do wrong in my eyes even if he's 0-16. Enough rambling.

Joe B. gets no mention for coaching up Heyer and holding the line together? Greg W. is not responsible for getting the best out of Reed D? This is the stuff I'm talking about. Yes Gibbs deserves credit cause he is the HC and he's the the team leader. Job well done. But you make it sound like he's the only guy on the freaking coaching staff. Last time I checked Gibbs does not call the defense or the offense. Let's give the whole staff props, not just Gibbs. And when we get beat, it's always important not to lay everything on Gibbs. |

I agree. When you step back and look at it, it's amazing we're in the position to make the playoffs.

Preach it SFredskin!
The Joe Haters were much louder on these threads than you could ever be. How soon we forget the Lynch Mobbers, i mean, Sports Talk 980, or worse, the "...Joe's Gotta Go...Joe's Gotta Go..." chorus at FedEx (lowest fan moment for me, ever). FYI, on the news tonight, Joe gave FULL CREDIT to the guys upstairs for spotting the 12th Viking. I'm down with Matty, too. We're Redskin fans, we all just gotta get along. Merry Christmas, Joe. |

I would give a lot of the credit to the bears, if they haden't knocked Campbell out for the season our season would be over, Campbell wasen't winning 3 games in a row.
