Re: Sellers Unhappy

Sellers is getting up there in age, gotta figure he has a couple of seasons left at best. He's looking to cash in on his Pro Bowl appearance, hard to blame him for that. When push comes to shove he's not going to sit out. Let him pout for now, who cares.

Seriously. Can someone tell me the last time a 34 year old FB held out for more money? Exactly. He'll be there in training camp.

Re: Sellers Unhappy

Hate to say it but Sellers IS underpaid. He's been the best contract on our books for years now.

I'm not one to support players who hold out for more money, and I won't necessarily support Sellers missing any real time, but I don't mind his bitching right now. Maybe it's cuz he's a CFL boy...

Not sure how Sellers compares to other FBs, but if you look at value to the Redskins, he is underpaid. There were many times last year when he was the only offensive player who gave a sh*t. Everyone brings up "the fumble" but it was one play in a long season. Sellers was our offensive MVP last year IMO.

There is no way Sellers should be making less than Suisham, Betts, Rock, Montgomery, Rocky, Golston, Todd Collins... Sellers was more valuable to our team last year than all those guys combined.

Everyone else can bitch at Snyder, why not Sellers...

I wouldn't be against taking care of him at some point before the season starts if there's some cap room left over. Maybe a new 2 year deal or something along those lines.

Love Sellars, but he needs to realize the position he plays and what his market value is.

Re: Sellers Unhappy

If he leaves, who will we count on for one terribly-timed special teams personal foul penalty per game?

Re: Sellers Unhappy

That one thing that kills me about players. They sign a contract which at the time is good to them or they wouldn't have sign it in the first place. Then they go out and have a really good year now all of a sudden they are under paid. I am pretty sure when he signed the deal he was excepted to have some good years or the Skins would have not resigned him in the first place. I say we try to trade him and get a your FB one that can get 1 or 2 short yards without coughing it up!

Re: Sellers Unhappy

Mike Sellers' signed a contract 2 yrs ago 4yrs/4 mil. Now after 1 probowl (that the Redskins fans voted you in) he gets the worse agent in the NFL and DEMANDS a new contract and refuses to attended OTA's. Let's not forget he's on the wrong side of 30. He's missed a few games the past 2 yrs with injuries.

The same Mike Sellers who got a second chance with this team after he talked trash about the team on his way to Cleveland.Where he was arrested and let go after he was found guilty on drug charges.Disgraced and down on his luck ended up in the CFL.If not for Coach Gibbs he would be where exactly?? Certainly not making a million dollars a year in the NFL.

Can you say ingrate?

i definitely do not agree with this. Rosenhaus might be the BEST player agent in the league. remember, he is working for the player. that means more dollars. in business, there is no such thing as being over paid

Re: Sellers Unhappy

I wouldn't call him an ingrate. It almost expected once you become a pro bowler and one of the tops at your position, you would want the max at your position. He very well could be upset with the treatment of Campbell.

Re: Sellers Unhappy

You certainly can't expect someone to live on $1 mil. a year.
