It's the Phillip Rivers effect without a Phillip Rivers guy actually in house.

That's a good thing. I hear Philip Rivers isn't house trained.

If he was stinking it up we'd probably have 10 threads on it. So it's only fair to point out that he was sharp in mini camp.

Yep, from reading the blogs he's apparently been the best at every drill I've seen mentioned.

Re: Why I like Jason Campbell

It think we'll see JC better than we've ever seen him this year. Leading by example is important but sometimes it takes a little more. Campbell needs to let it be known that this is his team and if you ever expect to get the ball you'd better be prepared to play. He seems to be taking more control in the huddle, as he should. I expect him to be more outwardly fired up this year and that can only be good for the team.

Campbell has improved every year that he has played. Imagine how good he could have been by now had we let him stay in the same offense for more than a year and a half. Campbell is the hardest working guy on the team, and I'm very optimistic that this will be the year that he becomes a top 10 QB, assuming reasonable contributions from one or more of Kelly, Thomas, and Davis.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Re: Why I like Jason Campbell

Number 1 I am a huge skins fan .... as the team progresses, I just hope the front office will "build" the team .... I emphasize "team" .... most of the great franchises that have great and extended successful runs in the NFL are organizations that are based on "team" not glorified individuals .... I think Jason Campbell and many others on the Redskins "team" are just that, interested in and committed to the "team" above "self" .... I hope that the pieces, coaching and the "team" coming together will happen sooner than later for all of us impatient Redskin Fans .... the quality of players both on and off the field in our organization is rising and we are close, so very close ... I hope that this season will be a turning point ....
Go Skins ....
