Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line

I must say though I don't know how we can acconplish this feat. Only by trading back in the first picking up someones one and 2, and trading AH for a second which I don't really want to do.

But 3 picks in rounds one and 2 or 3 is a nice thing to have in a draft this deep. As of now we may not need AH as much as we need to fill the roster wit more talent.

I know I personally have been fixing my eye on oline, lb, and safety in the draft but there is always room for improvement at every position on a 4-12 team, other than qb and te IMO.

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line

I think that there will be 1-2 guys that aren't currently on the roster starting, so kind of hard to say at the time. I think that Dockery and Rabach are locks

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line

Way too early to tell (hopefully) but I'll say Jammal Brown, Derrick Dockery, Kory L., Mike Williams, Trent Williams

(answer completely subject to change by this time next week)

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line

I would love a trade down in round #1 where we end up with Charles Brown plus another tackle prospect with the other trade down picks but I wouldn't predict it.

Its not what I want but my prediction would probably be: T Williams, Dock, Rabach, M Williams, Heyer.

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line

Well that would be great because it would mean we would actually have a little depth.

Okung, Dockery, Rabach, Rinehart, Hicks

I think we'll see a line that is a little more athletic than in the past. Having M.Williams and Flozell Adams on the right side would make for one glacially slow and ponderous tandem.

i like this scenario. but i would rather have Ed Williams in the middle, because i think Rabach skills are fading fast

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line

We've only picked up ONE offensive lineman so far this offseason. Even if we get Okung, we're back to the crappy O-line we started with last year before before Samuels goes out. I think we're waiting until after the draft for a reason. I'm hoping that the 6+ teams that take the top OT's in the draft release some of their older overpaid linemen after the draft -- and then we snatch them up.

So since we haven't even started to bolster our O-line, and I predict there will be at least 2-3 names we don't know yet who are involved in this mix. Of course, Flozell may be an one of them..

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line

Williams/Okung, Dockery, Rabach, Williams, Heyer.

I'd really like to pick up a guy like Flozell Adams as a one season stop gap at right tackle I dont know a ton about Hicks, but from what I read it seems like he's more suited for gaurd, so I think him and Mike Williams will battle for that spot.

I'd really like to get some competition in at center as well.

Mawae is available, I'd sign to a 1 year contract.
